[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to only pray two quick units of prayer when the dawn broke.  

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا طَلَعَ الْفَجْرُ لَا يُصَلِّي إِلَّا رَكْعَتَيْنِ خَفِيفَتَيْنِ  

[Machine] Abdullah, I don't know if the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to us while we were praying this prayer and he became very angry with us. Then he said, "Inform your absent witness that there is no prayer after the Fajr prayer except for the two units of the Fajr prayer." Its chain of narration has been established by Abdullah ibn Wahb from Sulaiman ibn Bilal, and it has also been narrated by Abu Bakr ibn Abi Uwais from Sulaiman ibn Bilal, but there is a mix-up in its chain of narration. The correct narration is from Ibn Wahb.  

عَبْدُ اللهِ لَا دَرَيْتَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا وَنَحْنُ نُصَلِّي هَذِهِ الصَّلَاةَ فَتَغَيَّظَ عَلَيْنَا تَغَيُّظًا شَدِيدًا ثُمَّ قَالَ لِيُبَلِّغْ شَاهِدُكُمْ غَائِبَكُمْ لَا صَلَاةَ بَعْدَ طُلُوعِ الْفَجْرِ إِلَّا رَكْعَتَيِ الْفَجْرِ أَقَامَ إِسْنَادَهُ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ بِلَالٍ وَرَوَاهُ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ بِلَالٍ فَخَلَطَ فِي إِسْنَادِهِ وَالصَّحِيحُ رِوَايَةُ ابْنِ وَهْبٍ فَقَدْ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no prayer after Fajr prayer except two units." An-Nabi Muhammad bin Nazeer bin Janah from Kufa reported, Abu Ja'far bin Duhaim reported, Ahmad bin Hazim reported, Qutaiba bin Said reported from Ad-Darawardi, who mentioned it as being narrated by Uthman bin Umar. Qudamah bin Musa reported, a man from Banu Hanthalah reported from Abu Al-Qamah, the freed slave of Ibn Abbas, who mentioned it in the same meaning as the hadith of Ibn Wahb. Abu Abdullah Al-Hafiz reported, Abu Al-Abbas (who is deaf) reported, Hasan bin Mukram reported, Uthman bin Umar reported in a similar manner. And he has a witness in the narration of Abdullah bin Amr bin Al-As, even though there is someone in the chain of narrators that cannot be relied upon.  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَا صَلَاةَ بَعْدَ الْفَجْرِ إِلَّا رَكْعَتَيْنِ أنبأ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ جَنَاحُ بْنُ نَذِيرِ بْنِ جَنَاحٍ بِالْكُوفَةِ أنبأ أَبُو جَعْفَرِ بْنُ دُحَيْمٍ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ أنبأ قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ثنا الدَّرَاوَرْدِيُّ فَذَكَرَهُ 4440 وَرَوَاهُ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ أنبأ قُدَامَةُ بْنُ مُوسَى أَخْبَرَنِي رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِي حَنْظَلَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَلْقَمَةَ مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فَذَكَرَ بِمَعْنَى حَدِيثِ ابْنِ وَهْبٍ أنبأ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أنبأ أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ هُوَ الْأَصَمُّ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُكْرَمٍ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بِنَحْوِهِ وَلَهُ شَاهِدٌ مِنْ حَدِيثِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ وَإِنْ كَانَ فِي إِسْنَادِهِ مَنْ لَا يُحْتَجُّ بِهِ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say, "There is no prayer after the dawn until two rak'ahs of Fajr."  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَقُولُ لَا صَلَاةَ بَعْدَ طُلُوعِ الْفَجْرِ إِلَّا رَكْعَتَيِ الْفَجْرِ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "There is no prayer after the dawn prayer except for the two units of the dawn prayer." Abdullah ibn Yazid, also known as Abu Abdur Rahman al-Hubuli, narrated this hadith. Jafar ibn Awn also narrated from Abdullah ibn Yazid, who narrated from Abdullah ibn Amr that there is no prayer after the dawn prayer except for two units. Abu Zakariya ibn Abi Ishaq al-Muzakki narrated this hadith, and Abu Abdullah Muhammad ibn Ya'qub narrated from him, and Muhammad ibn Abdil Wahhab al-Farra narrated from them, and Jafar ibn Awn narrated from him, and Abdul Rahman ibn Ziyad narrated from him and mentioned it as a marfu' hadith. This is different from the narration of Thawri and Ibn Wahb in terms of the text and the marfu' part. And Thawri's narration is more reliable than others, except that Abdul Rahman al-Afriqi is not a reliable narrator for it, but he has a corroborating witness regarding the hadith of Ibn Musayyib, which is also marfu'.  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا صَلَاةَ بَعْدَ طُلُوعِ الْفَجْرِ إِلَّا رَكْعَتَيِ الْفَجْرِ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ هُوَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحُبُلِيُّ 4443 وَرَوَاهُ جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ لَا صَلَاةَ بَعْدَ أَنْ يُصَلَّى الْفَجْرُ إِلَّا رَكْعَتَيْنِ أنبأ أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ الْمُزَكِّي أنبأ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ أنبأ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ الْفَرَّاءُ أنبأ جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ أنبأ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ فَذَكَرَهُ مَوْقُوفًا وَهُوَ بِخِلَافِ رِوَايَةِ الثَّوْرِيِّ وَابْنِ وَهْبٍ فِي الْمَتْنِ وَالْوُقُوفِ وَالثَّوْرِيُّ أَحْفَظُ مِنْ غَيْرِهِ إِلَّا أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَفْرِيقِيَّ غَيْرُ مُحْتَجٍّ بِهِ وَلَهُ شَاهِدٌ مِنْ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ مُرْسَلًا  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no prayer after the call to prayer except two prostrations, meaning the Fajr prayer. This was narrated and connected to the mention of Abu Hurairah in it, and it is not correct to pray it."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا صَلَاةَ بَعْدَ النِّدَاءِ إِلَّا سَجْدَتَيْنِ يَعْنِي الْفَجْرَ وَرُوِيَ مَوْصُولًا بِذِكْرِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ فِيهِ وَلَا يَصِحُّ وَصَلُهُ  

[Machine] "He saw a man praying after the dawn prayer with more than two raka'at, in which he prolongs the bowing and prostration. So he forbade him, and the man said, 'O Abu Muhammad, does Allah punish me for praying?' He said, 'No, but He punishes you for going against the Sunnah.'"  

أَنَّهُ رَأَى رَجُلًا يُصَلِّي بَعْدَ طُلُوعِ الْفَجْرِ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ رَكْعَتَيْنِ يُكْثِرُ فِيهَا الرُّكُوعَ وَالسُّجُودَ فَنَهَاهُ فَقَالَ يَا أَبَا مُحَمَّدٍ يُعَذِّبُنِي اللهُ عَلَى الصَّلَاةِ؟ قَالَ لَا وَلَكِنْ يُعَذِّبُكَ عَلَى خِلَافِ السُّنَّةِ
