[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "They (the scholars) pray for you. If they are correct, it is for you and for them, and if they are mistaken, it is on you and on them, except for the statement of Abu Khaythamah who did not mention Ibn Dinar, and Abdur Rahman ibn Abdullah al-Madani said..."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلُّونَ لَكُمْ فَإِنْ أَصَابُوا فَلَكُمْ وَلَهُمْ وَإِنْ أَخْطَئُوا فَلَكُمْ وَعَلَيْهِمْ لَفْظُ حَدِيثِهِمَا سَوَاءٌ إِلَّا أَنَّ أَبَا خَيْثَمَةَ لَمْ يَذْكُرِ ابْنَ دِينَارٍ وَقَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْمَدَنِيُّ  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ entered the Fajr prayer and beckoned with his hand to indicate their positions. Then he came forward with his head dripping water and prayed with them. Uthman ibn Abi Shaybah narrated that Yazid ibn Harun informed Hammad ibn Salamah with his chain of narrators. The meaning of this is that the Prophet ﷺ started by saying takbeer and in the end, after he finished the prayer, he said, "I am only a human being, and I was in a state of janabah (need to perform ghusl)."  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ دَخَلَ فِي صَلَاةِ الْفَجْرِ فَأَوْمَأَ بِيَدِهِ أَنْ مَكَانَكُمْ ثُمَّ جَاءَ وَرَأْسُهُ يَقْطُرُ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ قَالَ وَثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أنبأ حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ بِإِسْنَادِهِ وَمَعْنَاهُ قَالَ فِي أَوَّلِهِ فَكَبَّرَ وَقَالَ فِي آخِرِهِ فَلَمَّا قَضَى الصَّلَاةَ قَالَ إِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشْرٌ وَإِنِّي كُنْتُ جُنُبًا  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ raised his voice during one of the prayers, then he signaled with his hand to stay still. Then he returned and there was a trace of water on his garment. Abu Zakaria told the story that Abu al-Abbas informed him that Rabbi told him that Shafi'i told him that al-Thaqafi told him that Osama bin Zaid told him that Abdullah bin Yazid told him that Muhammad bin Abdur Rahman bin Thawban told him that Abu Hurairah narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said something similar to this meaning.  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَبَّرَ فِي صَلَاةٍ مِنَ الصَّلَوَاتِ ثُمَّ أَشَارَ بِيَدِهِ امْكُثُوا ثُمَّ رَجَعَ وَعَلَى جِلْدِهِ أَثَرُ الْمَاءِ 4065 وَأنبأ أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ أنبأ الرَّبِيعُ أنبأ الشَّافِعِيُّ أنبأ الثِّقَةُ عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ ثَوْبَانَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِمِثْلِ مَعْنَاهُ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to the prayer, and when he said the takbir, he turned away and gestured to them that they should do the same, then he went out with his head dripping water and prayed with them. When he finished, he said, "Indeed, I was in a state of sexual impurity and I forgot to perform ablution."  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ جَاءَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ فَلَمَّا كَبَّرَ انْصَرَفَ وَأَوْمَأَ إِلَيْهِمْ أَنْ كَمَا أَنْتُمْ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ وَرَأْسُهُ يَقْطُرُ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ قَالَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ جُنُبًا فَنَسِيتُ أَنْ أَغْتَسِلَ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ raised his hands invoking Allah during the Fajr prayer. Then he gestured towards the people and left. His head was dripping with water and he prayed with them. Then he said, "Indeed, I am a human being and indeed, I was in a state of janabah (major ritual impurity) and I forgot to perform ghusl (ritual purification). Al-Hasan ibn 'Abdul Rahman al-Harithi performed tawaf (circumambulation around the Ka'bah) alone, and this narration is also reported by Isma'il ibn 'Ulayyah and others from Ibn 'Awn, from Muhammad, from the Prophet ﷺ , who narrated as a Mursal (a type of Hadith narration) and he is preserved. All of this is a witness to the narration of Abu Bakrah.  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَبَّرَ بِهِمْ فِي صَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ ثُمَّ أَوْمَأَ إِلَيْهِمْ ثُمَّ انْطَلَقَ وَخَرَجَ وَرَأْسُهُ يَقْطُرُ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ ثُمَّ قَالَ إِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ وَإِنَّى كُنْتُ جُنُبًا فَنَسِيتُ تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحَارِثِيُّ وَرَوَاهُ إِسْمَاعِيلُ ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ وَغَيْرُهُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَوْنٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مُرْسَلًا وَهُوَ الْمَحْفُوظُ وَكُلُّ ذَلِكَ شَاهِدٌ لِحَدِيثِ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ  

[Machine] The prayer was established and the rows were straightened. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out to us. When he stood in his prayer, he remembered that he was in a state of major ritual impurity (junub). He motioned to us and entered (the house). He performed ghusl (ritual purification) and then came out with water dripping from his head. He prayed with us 4069 (a specific number of units of prayer), and Abu Zakariya ibn Abi Ishaq narrated that Abu Muhammad Abdullah ibn Ishaq informed him, from Al-Hasan, meaning Ibn Mukram, who mentioned it similarly.  

أُقِيمَتِ الصَّلَاةُ وَعُدِلَتِ الصُّفُوفُ فَخَرَجَ إِلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَلَمَّا قَامَ فِي مُصَلَّاهُ ذَكَرَ أَنَّهُ جُنُبٌ فَأَوْمَأَ إِلَيْنَا وَدَخَلَ فَاغْتَسَلَ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ وَرَأْسُهُ يَقْطُرُ فَصَلَّى بِنَا 4069 وَأنبأ أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ أنبأ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ثنا الْحَسَنُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُكْرَمٍ فَذَكَرَهُ بِمِثْلِهِ  

[Machine] Abu Hurairah heard saying, "The prayer was established so we stood and straightened the rows before the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came and stood in his place before saying the takbeer, he noticed us and said, 'Stay in your places.' So we did not sit down and waited for him until he came out towards us and had already performed ablution, cleaned his head with water, then he said the takbeer and prayed with us."  

سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ يَقُولُ أُقِيمَتِ الصَّلَاةُ فَقُمْنَا فَعَدَّلْنَا الصُّفُوفَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَخْرُجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَتَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ حَتَّى إِذَا قَامَ فِي مُصَلَّاهُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُكَبِّرَ ذَكَرَ فَانْصَرَفَ وَقَالَ لَنَا مَكَانَكُمْ فَلَمْ نَزَلْ قِيَامًا نَنْتَظِرُهُ حَتَّى خَرَجَ إِلَيْنَا وَقَدِ اغْتَسَلَ يَنْظُفُ رَأْسُهُ مَاءً فَكَبَّرَ فَصَلَّى بِنَا  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ entered the prayer and said the takbeer (saying Allahu Akbar) and we said it with him. Then he signaled to the people that just as you have been standing, we have not come to sit down until the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came and performed ablution, and his head was wet. Abdul-Wahhab ibn Ata' contradicted him. They both narrated from Sa'id, from Qatadah, from Bakr ibn Abdullah al-Muzani, from the Prophet ﷺ as a Mursal (missing one or more narrators in the chain of narration).  

دَخَلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فِي صَلَاتِهِ فَكَبَّرَ فَكَبَّرْنَا مَعَهُ ثُمَّ أَشَارَ إِلَى النَّاسِ أَنْ كَمَا أَنْتُمْ فَلَمْ نَزَلْ قِيَامًا حَتَّى آتَانَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قَدِ اغْتَسَلَ وَرَأْسُهُ يَقْطُرُ خَالَفَهُ عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ فَرَوَاهُ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْمُزَنِيِّ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مُرْسَلًا  

[Machine] I felt this numbness on my thigh that I didn't feel before, so I scratched it. Then he said, "By Allah, when I ate fatty food and reached old age, something comes out of me that I don't feel." Muhammad then said, "So what do I feel?" He then performed ablution, prayed the morning prayer again, and did not instruct anyone to repeat the prayer.  

هَذَا الِاحْتِلَامُ عَلَى فَخِذِي لَمْ أَشْعُرْ بِهِ فَحَكَّهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ صِرْتُ وَاللهِ حِينَ أَكَلْتُ الدَّسَمَ وَدَخَلْتُ فِي السِّنِّ يَخْرُجُ مِنِّي مَا لَا أَشْعُرُ بِهِ وَقَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ فَمَا أَشْعُرُ بِهِ وَاغْتَسَلَ ثُمَّ أَعَادَ صَلَاةَ الصُّبْحِ وَلَمْ يَأْمُرْ أَحَدًا بِإِعَادَةِ الصَّلَاةِ  

[Machine] "That they may return."  

أَنْ يُعِيدُوا  

[Machine] I grew up, by Allah, and indeed I used to see myself in a state of janabah (ritual impurity), then I wouldn't know, then I would repeat it without being instructed to do so. Abdul Rahman said, I asked Sufyan about it and he said, I heard it from Khalid ibn Salamah, and I cannot recall it as I would like. Abdul Rahman said, and this is something upon which there is consensus, that janabah should be repeated and they should not repeat what they do not know to be different. Ali said, and Abu Ubaid said, meaning in his narration, I heard it from Khalid ibn Salamah, and I do not remember it exactly, and he did not add anything to this.  

كَبِرْتُ وَاللهِ إِنِّي لَأَرَانِي جُنُبًا ثُمَّ لَا أَعْلَمُ ثُمَّ أَعَادَ وَلَمْ يَأْمُرْهُمْ أَنْ يُعِيدُوا قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ سَأَلْتُ سُفْيَانَ عَنْهُ فَقَالَ قَدْ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ وَلَا أَجِيءُ بِهِ كَمَا أُرِيدُ قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ وَهَذَا الْمُجْمَعُ عَلَيْهِ الْجُنُبُ يُعِيدُ وَلَا يُعِيدُونَ مَا أَعْلَمُ فِيهِ اخْتِلَافًا قَالَ عَلِيٌّ وَقَالَ أَبُو عُبَيْدٍ يَعْنِي فِي رِوَايَتِهِ قَدْ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ وَلَا أَحْفَظُهُ وَلَمْ يَزِدْ عَلَى هَذَا  

[Machine] That he prayed with them while he was not in a state of ablution, then he repeated the prayer without instructing them to repeat it, and it has been narrated in a confirmed Hadith.  

أَنَّهُ صَلَّى بِهِمْ وَهُوَ عَلَى غَيْرِ وُضُوءٍ فَأَعَادَ وَلَمْ يَأْمُرْهُمْ بِالْإِعَادَةِ وَقَدْ رُوِيَ فِيهِ حَدِيثٌ مُسْنَدٌ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed, even though he was not in a state of ablution. So, he repeated it to the people. And this is not a strong opinion. And in what has passed, it is sufficient.  

صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَلَيْسَ هُوَ عَلَى وُضُوءٍ فَتَمَّتِ لِلْقَوْمِ وَأَعَادَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَهَذَا غَيْرُ قَوِيٍّ وَفِيمَا مَضَى كِفَايَةٌ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed the prayer with the people while he was in a state of major ritual impurity (junub). He repeated the prayer and they also repeated it. This is according to the narration of Abu Bakr ibn Al-Harith who narrated it from Ali ibn Umar, who narrated it from Ya'qub ibn Ibrahim Al-Bazzar, who narrated it from Ahmad ibn Yahya ibn Ata Al-Jallab, who narrated it from Abu Mu'awiya, who narrated it from Ibn Abi Dhi'b, who narrated it from Abu Jabir Al-Bayadi. It is worth mentioning that Abu Jabir Al-Bayadi is considered unreliable, and Malik ibn Anas did not approve of him. Yahya ibn Ma'een said that Abu Jabir Al-Bayadi is a liar.  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَّى بِالنَّاسِ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ فَأَعَادَ وَأَعَادُوا وَذَلِكَ فِيمَا أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ أنبأ عَلِيُّ بْنُ عُمَرَ ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْبَزَّارُ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَطَاءٍ الْجَلَّابُ ثنا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَابِرٍ الْبَيَاضِيِّ وَهَذَا مُرْسَلٌ وَأَبُو جَابِرٍ الْبَيَاضِيُّ مَتْرُوكُ الْحَدِيثِ كَانَ مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ لَا يَرْتَضِيهِ وَكَانَ يَحْيَى بْنُ مَعِينٍ يَقُولُ أَبُو جَابِرٍ الْبَيَاضِيُّ كَذَّابٌ  

[Machine] He (prophet Muhammad) performed prayer with the people while he was in a state of major ritual impurity (junub), then he commanded them and they performed prayer again. This incident is narrated by Amr bin Khalid, Abu Makhlad, Al-Wasiti, who is considered unreliable as he is accused of lying by the scholars.  

أَنَّهُ صَلَّى بِالْقَوْمِ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ فَأَعَادَ ثُمَّ أَمَرَهُمْ فَأَعَادُوا فَهَذَا إِنَّمَا يَرْوِيهِ عَمْرُو بْنُ خَالِدٍ أَبُو مَخْلَدٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ رَمَاهُ الْحُفَّاظُ بِالْكَذِبِ  

[Machine] He was a liar, so when we discovered his lying, he changed to another place and told about Habib ibn Abi Thabit, from Aasim ibn Damarah, from Ali, that he prayed with them while he was not in a state of purity, so he repeated the prayer and commanded them to repeat it. Abu al-Hasan ibn al-Fadl informed that Abdullah ibn Jafar reported to us, narrated by Ya'qub, narrated by Muhammad, narrated by Abdul Rahman ibn Mahdi, from Sufyan al-Thawri, I heard him saying that Habib ibn Abi Thabit never narrated anything from Aasim ibn Damarah.  

كَانَ كَذَّابًا فَلَمَّا عَرَفْنَاهُ بِالْكَذِبِ تَحَوَّلَ إِلَى مَكَانٍ آخَرَ حَدَّثَ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ ضَمْرَةَ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ؓ أَنَّهُ صَلَّى بِهِمْ وَهُوَ عَلَى غَيْرِ طَهَارَةٍ فَأَعَادَ وَأَمَرَهُمْ بِالْإِعَادَةِ 4080 وَأنبأ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ثنا يَعْقُوبُ ثنا مُحَمَّدٌ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ إِنَّ حَبِيبَ بْنَ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ لَمْ يَرْوِ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ ضَمْرَةَ شَيْئًا قَطُّ  

[Machine] That the people should not return this to whoever wants to be fair with the conversation.  

أَنْ لَا يُعِيدَ الْقَوْمُ هَذَا لِمَنْ أَرَادَ الْإِنْصَافَ بِالْحَدِيثِ  

[Machine] Ibrahim was asked about a man who leads a prayer with people while he is not in a state of ritual purity. Ibrahim said, "He should repeat the prayer, but they do not need to repeat it." Abdullah bin Rahman said, "I asked Sufyan, 'Do you know if someone should repeat the prayer?' He said, 'He should repeat it and they should repeat it, except for Hammad.' And he said, 'No, they should not repeat it.'"  

عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ فِي الرَّجُلِ يُصَلِّي بِقَوْمٍ وَهُوَ عَلَى غَيْرِ وُضُوءٍ قَالَ يُعِيدُ وَلَا يُعِيدُونَ قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ قُلْتُ لِسُفْيَانَ تَعْلَمُ أَحَدَنَا قَالَ يُعِيدُ وَيُعِيدُونَ غَيْرَ حَمَّادٍ فَقَالَ لَا
