[Machine] Abu Huraira used to pray with them, and he would say the takbeer (saying "Allahu Akbar" at the beginning of the prayer) whenever he lowered or raised his hands. And when he finished praying, he would say: "By Allah, I resemble your prayer to the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ." And in a narration of Yahya, when he finished praying...  

أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ كَانَ يُصَلِّي بِهِمْ فَيُكَبِّرُ كُلَّمَا خَفَضَ وَرَفَعَ فَإِذَا انْصَرَفَ قَالَ وَاللهِ إِنِّي لَأَشْبَهُكُمْ صَلَاةً بِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَفِي حَدِيثِ يَحْيَى فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ  

Whenever Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood for the prayer, he said Takbir on starting the prayer and then on bowing. On rising from bowing he said, "Samiʿa llahu liman hamidah," and then while standing straight he used to say, "Rabbana laka-l hamd" (Al- Laith said, "(The Prophet ﷺ said), 'Wa laka l-hamd'." He used to say Takbir on prostrating and on raising his head from prostration; again he would Say Takbir on prostrating and raising his head. He would then do the same in the whole of the prayer till it was completed. On rising from the second rakʿa (after sitting for at-Tahiyyat), he used to say Takbir. أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا قَامَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ يُكَبِّرُ حِينَ يَقُومُ ثُمَّ يُكَبِّرُ حِينَ يَرْكَعُ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ سَمِعَ اللهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ حِينَ يَرْفَعُ صُلْبَهُ مِنَ الرَّكْعَةِ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ وَهُوَ قَائِمٌ رَبَّنَا وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ ثُمَّ يُكَبِّرُ حِينَ يَهْوِي سَاجِدًا ثُمَّ يُكَبِّرُ حِينَ يَرْفَعُ رَأْسَهُ ثُمَّ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ كُلِّهَا حَتَّى يَقْضِيَهَا وَيُكَبِّرُ حِينَ يَقُومُ مِنَ اثْنَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْجُلُوسِ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say Takbeer (Allahu Akbar) whenever he lowered and raised himself (in prayer). He continued to do this until he met Allah (ﷻ) while still observing this practice. This last statement has been narrated in the continuous hadith from Ibn Shihab, from Abu Bakr ibn Abdur Rahman, and from Abu Salamah, from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with them all).  

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُكَبِّرُ كُلَّمَا خَفَضَ وَرَفَعَ قَالَ فَلَمْ تَزَلْ تِلْكَ صَلَاتَهُ حَتَّى لَقِيَ اللهَ ﷻ وَهُوَ مُرْسَلٌ حَسَنٌ وَهَذِهِ اللَّفْظَةُ الْأَخِيرَةُ قَدْ رُوِيَتْ فِي الْحَدِيثِ الْمَوْصُولِ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ وَأَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ  

Abu Hurairah would utter the takbir in every prayer, whether obligatory or non-obligatory, He would utter the takbir when he stood, and he would utter the takbir when he bowed, then he would say: “Allah listens to him who praises Him”; he then would say before prostrating himself; “ Our Lord, to Thee be praise”; then he would say while falling in prostration: “Allah is most great”; he then would utter the takbir when he raised his head after prostration, and then utter the takbir when he prostrated, and then utter takbir the takbir when he stood up at the end of two rak’ahs after sitting down. He used to do so in every rak’ah until he finished his prayer. Then he would say at the end of the prayer: By Him in Whose hands lies my life, I am closer to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in respect of his prayer. Such was the prayer he used to offer until he departed from the world. Abu Dawud said: Malik, al-Zubaidi and others have narrated so that they form the last words from al-Zuhri on the authority of ‘Ali b, Husain. And this is supported by the version reported by ‘Abd al-A’la from Ma’mar and SHu’aib b. Abi Hamzah on the authority of Al-Zuhri. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 836)   

أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ كَانَ يُكَبِّرُ فِي صَلَاةٍ مِنَ الْمَكْتُوبَةِ وَغَيْرِهَا فَيُكَبِّرُ حِينَ يَقُومُ ثُمَّ يُكَبِّرُ حِينَ يَرْكَعُ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ سَمِعَ اللهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ رَبَّنَا وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَسْجُدَ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ اللهُ أَكْبَرُ حِينَ يَهْوِي سَاجِدًا ثُمَّ يُكَبِّرُ حِينَ يَرْفَعُ رَأْسَهُ ثُمَّ يُكَبِّرُ حِينَ يَسْجُدُ ثُمَّ يُكَبِّرُ حِينَ يَرْفَعُ رَأْسَهُ ثُمَّ يُكَبِّرُ حِينَ يَقُومُ مِنَ الْجُلُوسِ فِي اثْنَتَيْنِ فَيَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ فِي كُلِّ رَكْعَةٍ حَتَّى يَفْرُغَ مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ حِينَ يَنْصَرِفُ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ إِنِّي لَأَقْرَبُكُمْ شَبَهًا بِصَلَاةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ إِنْ كَانَتْ هَذِهِ لَصَلَاتَهُ حَتَّى فَارَقَ الدُّنْيَا قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ رَحِمَهُ اللهُ هَذَا الْكَلَامُ الْأَخِيرُ يَحْمِلُهُ مَالِكٌ وَالزُّبَيْرِيُّ وَغَيْرُهُمَا عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ حُسَيْنٍ وَوَافَقَ عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ شُعَيْبَ بْنَ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ الشَّيْخُ رَحِمَهُ اللهُ قَدْ أَخْرَجَ الْبُخَارِيُّ حَدِيثَ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْيَمَانِ عَنْ شُعَيْبٍ  

They prayed behind Abu Hurairah, may Allah (SWT) be pleased with him, and he when he bowed, he said the Takbir, when he raised his head he said: 'Sami Allahu liman hamidah, Rabbana wa lakal-hamd. Then he prostrated and said the takbir, then he raised his head and said the takbir, then he said the takbir when he stood up following that Rak'ah. Then he said: 'By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, I am the one among you whose prayer most closely resembles that of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. And this is how he continued to pray until he left this world." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1156)   

سَمِعَ اللهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ رَبَّنَا وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ ثُمَّ سَجَدَ وَكَبَّرَ ثُمَّ رَفَعَ وَكَبَّرَ ثُمَّ كَبَّرَ حِينَ قَامَ مِنَ الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ قَالَ مَا زَالَتْ هَذِهِ صَلَاةَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ حَتَّى فَارَقَ الدُّنْيَا  

[Machine] Imran reminded us of this man, who used to pray with us the prayer that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray. He mentioned that he used to say the takbeer (saying Allahu Akbar - Allah is the Greatest) every time he raised (his hands in prayer) and every time he lowered (his hands).  

عِمْرَانُ ذَكَّرَنَا هَذَا الرَّجُلُ صَلَاةً كَانَ يُصَلِّيهَا بِنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُكَبِّرُ كُلَّمَا رَفَعَ وَكُلَّمَا وَضَعَ  

[Machine] Your mother performed the prayer of Abu al-Qasim ﷺ , and it was narrated by al-Bukhari in his authentic collection of hadith from Abu Salamah.  

ثَكِلَتْكَ أُمُّكَ تِلْكَ صَلَاةُ أَبِي الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ وَرَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ  

"Anas bin Malik was asked about the takbir in the prayer. He said: "The takbir should be said when bowing, when prostrating, when raising one's head from prostration and when standing up following the first two rak'ahs.' Hutaim said: 'From whom did you learn this?' He said: 'From the Prophet ﷺ, Abu Bakr and 'Umar, may Allah (SWT) be pleased with them.' Then he fell silent and Hutaim said to him: 'And 'Uthman?' He said: 'And 'Uthman.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1179)   

إِذَا رَكَعَ وَإِذَا سَجَدَ وَإِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ السُّجُودِ وَإِذَا سَجَدَ وَإِذَا قَامَ فِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ فَقَالَ لَهُ خَطِيمٌ عَمَّنْ تَحْفَظُ هَذَا؟ فَقَالَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَأَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ ؓ فَقَالَ لَهُ خَطِيمٌ وَعُثْمَانَ؟ قَالَ وَعُثْمَانَ هَذَا هُوَ الصَّوَابُ بِالْخَاءِ الْمُعْجَمَةِ وَقِيلَ حَطِيمٌ بِالْحَاءِ  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ , Abu Bakr, Umar, and Uthman used to complete the takbeer when they raised up and when they put their hands down, and this is what they did before.  

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وَعُثْمَانُ ؓ يُتِمُّونَ التَّكْبِيرَ إِذَا رَفَعُوا وَإِذَا وَضَعُوا وَهَذَا وَمَا قَبْلَهُ أَوْلَى  

[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to not complete the Takbeer. And in the narration of 'Amr from Ibn 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abza from his father, he prayed with the Prophet ﷺ , and he used to not complete the Takbeer. So, he (the narrator) may have raised his hands for Takbeer but did not hear it, and he may have left it once to clarify the permissibility and Allah knows best.  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ لَا يُتِمُّ التَّكْبِيرَ وَفِي حَدِيثِ عَمْرٍو عَنِ ابْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّهُ صَلَّى مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَكَانَ لَا يُتِمُّ التَّكْبِيرَ فَقَدْ يَكُونُ كَبَّرَ وَلَمْ يَسْمَعْ وَقَدْ يَكُونُ تَرَكَ مَرَّةً لِيُبَيِّنَ الْجَوَازَ وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ
