bayhaqi:2263Abū ʿAbdullāh al-Ḥāfiẓ > Abū al-Ḥusayn Muḥammad b. Aḥmad al-Ḥanẓalī > Abū Qilābah al-Raqāshī > Abū ʿĀṣim > Sufyān > ʿAbdullāh b. Abū Bakr > Saʿīd b. al-Musayyib > Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When the Imam says 'Allahu Akbar,' say 'Allahu Akbar.' And when he says 'Sami'Allahu liman hamidah,' say 'Rabbana wa lakal hamd.'" And Abu Al-Hasan Ibn Abdan informed us that Abu Al-Qasim Sulaiman Ibn Ahmad Al-Tabarani narrated to us, who narrated from Ibn Hanbal, who narrated from Amr Ibn Ali, who narrated from Abu Asim, who mentioned it similarly in a lengthy hadith. Abu Al-Qasim said, "No one mentioned it from Sufyan except Abu Asim." The sheikh, may Allah have mercy on him, said, "And it has been narrated from the hadith of Abdullah Ibn Muhammad Ibn Aqil, from Sa'id, and Allah knows best."

bayhaqi:2265Abū Muḥammad ʿAbdullāh b. Yūsuf b. Aḥmad al-Aṣbahānī > Abū Bakr Muḥammad b. al-Ḥusayn b. al-Ḥasan al-Qaṭṭān > Ibrāhīm b. al-Ḥārith al-Baghdādī > Yaḥyá b. Abū Bukayr > Zuhayr b. Muḥammad > ʿAbdullāh b. Muḥammad b. ʿAqīl > Saʿīd b. al-Musayyib > Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī

[Machine] He heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: "Shall I not guide you to something by which Allah wipes out sins and raises ranks in Paradise? They said: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said: "Performing ablution properly even in difficult circumstances, coming to the mosque frequently, and waiting for the next prayer after the previous one. There is none among you who performs ablution, and does it well, then says: I bear witness that there is no God worthy of worship except Allah Alone, Who has no partner, and that Muhammad is His Worshipper and Messenger; and offers Salat for Allah's sake. except that the gates of Paradise will be opened for him and the angels will invoke Allah to forgive him saying: 'O Allah! Forgive him; O Allah! Have mercy on him.' So, when you go to the prayer, you should straighten your rows, make your lines close to each other, and fill up the gaps in front of you, because I can see you from behind my back. When the Imam says, 'Allahu Akbar,' you should say the same, and when he bows down, you should bow down, and when he raises his head, you should also raise your head, and when he says, 'Sami' Allahu liman hamidah,' you should say: 'Rabbana wa lakal-hamd.' And the best are those of you who are in the first rows for men, and the worst are those at the end of the rows. And the best are those of you who are in the last rows for women, and the worst are those at the front of rows for women. O women! Do not raise your heads before the men, and lower your gaze when they prostrate themselves in Sujud so that you may not see their private parts." And Abu Tahir the jurist reported from his root, Abu Bakr al-Qattan, that he mentioned the same Hadith, except that he added: "And he performs the prayer in congregation, the rest are equal."

While we said prayer with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, one among the people said: Allah is truly Great, praise be to Allah in abundance. Glory be to Allah in the morning and the evening. The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon, him) said: Who uttered such and such a word? A person among the people said: It is I, Messenger of Allah (who have recited these words). He (the Holy Prophet) said: It (its utterance) surprised me, for the doors of heaven were opened for It. Ibn 'Umar said: I have not abandoned them (these words) since I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying this. (Using translation from Muslim 601)
