While we said prayer with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, one among the people said: Allah is truly Great, praise be to Allah in abundance. Glory be to Allah in the morning and the evening. The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon, him) said: Who uttered such and such a word? A person among the people said: It is I, Messenger of Allah (who have recited these words). He (the Holy Prophet) said: It (its utterance) surprised me, for the doors of heaven were opened for It. Ibn 'Umar said: I have not abandoned them (these words) since I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying this.  

بَيْنَمَا نَحْنُ نُصَلِّي مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذْ قَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ: (اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ كَبِيرًا، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ كَثِيرًا، وَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلاً) فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «مَنِ الْقَائِلُ كَلِمَةَ» كَذَا وَكَذَا؟ قَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ: أَنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ! قَالَ: «عَجِبْتُ لَهَا فُتِحَتْ لَهَا أَبْوَابُ السَّمَاءِ۔» قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ فَمَا تَرَكْتُهُنَّ مُنْذُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ ذَلِكَ۔  

"While we were praying with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, a man among the people said: 'Allahu Akbaru kabira, wal-hamdu Lillahi kathira, wa subhan-Allahi bukratan was asila (Allah is Most Great and much praise be to Allah and glorified be Allah at the beginning and end of the day).' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Who is the one who said such and such?' A man among the people said: 'I did, O Messenger of Allah.' He said: ' I like it,' and he said words to the effect that the gates of the Heavens had been opened for it." Ibn Umar said: "I never stopped saying it since I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say that."  

بَيْنَمَا نَحْنُ نُصَلِّي مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ كَبِيرًا وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ كَثِيرًا وَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلاً فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنِ الْقَائِلُ كَلِمَةَ كَذَا وَكَذَا فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ أَنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ عَجِبْتُ لَهَا وَذَكَرَ كَلِمَةً مَعْنَاهَا فُتِحَتْ لَهَا أَبْوَابُ السَّمَاءِ قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ مَا تَرَكْتُهُ مُنْذُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُهُ  

“We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when a man among the people said: ‘Allah is most exceedingly great, and praise is due to Allah, abundantly, and glory to Allah morning and night (Allāhu akbaru kabīran wal-ḥamdulillāhi kathīran wa subḥānallāhi bukratan wa aṣīlā).’ So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ‘Who is the one who said such and such?’ So a man among the people said: ‘Me, O Messenger of Allah ﷺ.’ He said: ‘I was amazed at it. The gates of heaven opened up for it.’” Ibn ʿUmar said: “I have not abandoned them since I heard [them] from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.”

[Machine] He heard Abdullah bin Umar saying: "We used to sit with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and a man said: 'Allahu Akbar Kabiran, Wa Alhamdulillahi Kathiran, Wa SubhanAllahi Bukratan wa Aseelan.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked: 'Who said these words?' The man replied: 'I did.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, I see them ascending until the doors of the heavens opened for them.' Ibn Umar said: 'By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, I have not left saying them since I heard them from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ .' Awf said: 'By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, I have not left saying them since I heard them from Ibn Umar.'  

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ كُنَّا جُلُوسًا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ اللهُ أَكْبَرُ كَبِيرًا وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ كَثِيرًا وَسُبْحَانَ اللهِ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلًا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ قَالَ الْكَلِمَاتِ؟ فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ أَنَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ إِنِّي لَأَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهَا تَصْعَدُ حَتَّى فُتِحَتْ لَهَا أَبْوَابُ السَّمَاءِ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ مَا تَرَكْتُهَا مُنْذُ سَمِعْتُهَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وقَالَ عَوْنٌ مَا تَرَكْتُهَا مُنْذُ سَمِعْتُهَا مِنَ ابْنِ عُمَرَ
