Author’s intent for this book was for it to be a collection of narrations with conditions of authenticity based on Bukhārī and Muslim. Full name: al-Mustadrak ʿalá al-Ṣaḥīḥayn (المستدرك على الصحيحين) (Addendum of the Two Authentic Books). Sources: Shamela Book# 2266 for the Arabic text with authentication by Imām Dhahabī. The English translation is being added by myself and other contributors.
Random ḥadīth in Ḥākim
“The Messenger of Allah recited this Ayah: ‘That Day it will declare its information.’ He said: “Do you know what its information is?” They said: “Allah and His Messenger know better.” He said: “That it testifies about what every male or female slave (of Allah) did upon its surface. It says: ‘He did this and that on this day.’ This is its information.” (Using translation from Tirmidhī 3353)
قَرَأَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ {يَوْمَئِذٍ تُحَدِّثُ أَخْبَارَهَا} [الزلزلة 4] قَالَ «أَتَدْرُونَ مَا أَخْبَارُهَا؟» قَالُوا اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ قَالَ فَإِنَّ أَخْبَارَهَا أَنْ تَشْهَدَ عَلَى كُلِّ عَبْدٍ وَأَمَةٍ بِمَا عَمِلَ عَلَى ظَهْرِهَا أَنْ تَقُولَ عَمِلَ عَمَلَ كَذَا فِي يَوْمِ كَذَا فَهَذِهِ أَخْبَارَهَا
