Author’s intent for this book was for it to be a collection of narrations with conditions of authenticity based on Bukhārī and Muslim. Full name: al-Mustadrak ʿalá al-Ṣaḥīḥayn (المستدرك على الصحيحين) (Addendum of the Two Authentic Books). Sources: Shamela Book# 2266 for the Arabic text with authentication by Imām Dhahabī. The English translation is being added by myself and other contributors.
Random ḥadīth in Ḥākim
[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, is the person who commits adultery, steals, and drinks alcohol, but still fears Allah Almighty, considered righteous?" He said, "No, but the person who fasts, prays, and gives charity, and still fears Allah Almighty, is considered righteous."
قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَوْلُ اللَّهِ ﷻ {الَّذِينَ يُؤْتُونَ مَا آتَوْا وَقُلُوبُهُمْ وَجِلَةٌ} [المؤمنون 60] أَهُوَ الرَّجُلُ يَزْنِي وَيَسْرِقُ وَيَشْرَبُ الْخَمْرَ وَهُوَ مَعَ ذَلِكَ يَخَافُ اللَّهَ ﷻ؟ قَالَ «لَا وَلَكِنَّهُ الرَّجُلُ يَصُومُ وَيُصَلِّي وَيَتَصَدَّقُ وَهُوَ مَعَ ذَلِكَ يَخَافُ اللَّهَ ﷻ»
