Muhammad ibn Yahya said: "This is the preserved version (of the hadith), because Ibn Wahb, who is an early transmitter, has heard it from Ibn Lah'i'ah, who has narrated it from Khalid ibn Yazid." He said: "We have received it from Ibn Shihab Az-Zuhri, who informed us that Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz narrated it from Abu Bakr ibn Ishaq, who reported it from Bishr ibn Musa, who narrated it from Abu Zakariya, who narrated it from Ibn Lahi'ah, mentioning it in its meaning."
