71.1 [Machine] The permissibility of writing from the possessions Allah Almighty said: "And those who seek a contract [for eventual emancipation] from among whom your right hands possess - then make a contract with them if you know there is within them goodness and give them from the wealth of Allah which He has given you." Surat An-Nur (33) Imam Ash-Shafi'i, may Allah have mercy on him, said: "In it is an indication that permission to be written is only granted to one who understands what he is asking for, not to one who does not understand like a child or an insane person.
