Random ḥadīth in Aḥmad's Zuhd
[Machine] I heard a brother saying, "O Allah, if You have written us among the miserable before You, then erase us and write us as happy. And if You have written us as happy, then make us firm, for You eliminate what You will and establish, and the Mother of the Book is with You."
سَمِعْتُ شَقِيقًا يَقُولُ «اللَّهُمَّ إِنْ كُنْتَ كَتَبْتَنَا عِنْدَكَ مِنَ الْأَشْقِيَاءِ فَامْحُنَا واكْتُبْنَا سُعَدَاءَ وَإِنْ كُنْتَ كَتَبْتَنَا سُعَدَاءَ فَاثبِتْنَا فَإِنَّكَ تَمْحُو مَا تَشَاءُ وَتُثْبِتُ وَعِنْدَكَ أُمُّ الْكِتَابِ»
