[Machine] "There is no escape from standing in the night, even if it is the size of milking a sheep."
[Machine] "There is no escape from standing in the night, even if it is the size of milking a sheep."
[Machine] "When Muhammad would enter upon his mother, he would not speak to her with his whole tongue out of respect for her."
If Allah intends good for His servant, He will provide him with an advisor from his own heart who commands him and prohibits him."
[Machine] What does Muhammad complain about? They said: No, but this is how he behaves when he is with his mother.
[Machine] Hind, the daughter of Al-Muhallab, used to invite Al-Hasan and Ibn Sirin for a meal, and Al-Hasan would respond to her invitation, while Ibn Sirin would not respond.
[Machine] Muhammad used to say, "Do not honor your brother with what he dislikes."
[Machine] They used to say, "Do not honor your friend with what burdens him."
I asked AbulAshhab: Did AbdurRahman ibn Tarafah meet his grandfather Arfajah? He replied: Yes. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4233)
[Machine] Ibn Seerin left forty thousand in something he invested in. Al-Sarri said: I heard Sulayman al-Taymi saying, "He left it in something that no one among the scholars disagrees about."
[Machine] Ibn Sirin used to revive the night during Ramadan.
[Machine] As for Al-Hasan, I have not seen a man closer in word to action than Al-Hasan. And as for Ibn Sirin, he has not encountered any matter in his religion except that he took the most reliable of the two.
[Machine] "O my son, fulfill my request and do not fulfill it except with loyalty." He said, "O my father, may I be freed for you?" He said, "Indeed, Allah is able to reward me and you for the good that you have done."
[Machine] Ibn Sireen used to fast one day and break his fast on another day. On the day he used to break his fast, he would have breakfast and not have dinner, then he would have pre-dawn meal and begin fasting.
[Machine] "Be conscious of Allah while awake, and do not be concerned with what you see in dreams."
[Machine] We hear his crying at night, which means his laughter during the day.
[Machine] That people disperse and say, "We trust Ibn Sirin."
[Machine] I heard Thabit al-Bunani say, "He was a young man who was disobedient. His mother used to advise him and say to him, 'Oh my son, you will have a day, so remember your day.' He said, 'When the decree of Allah came down, his mother grieved for him and started saying, 'Oh my son, I used to warn you about this fate of yours, and I used to say to you, 'You will have a day, so remember your day.' He said, 'Oh my mother, I have a Lord who has done many good deeds for me, and I hope that today my Lord will not deprive me of some of His good deeds and will forgive me.' It is said that he passed away and may Allah have mercy on him, as he had good thoughts about Allah in his state."
[Machine] "And he is told, 'O Abu Bakr, you are going to the wedding and drinking barley water.' So he used to say, 'Indeed, I dislike to make my great hunger be on the food of people.'"
[Machine] When death was mentioned, Ibn Sirin would die in his entirety, each part separately.
[Machine] If he wishes to look at the most knowledgeable man we encountered in his time, let him look at al-Hasan. For we have not encountered anyone more knowledgeable than him. And if he wishes to look at the most pious man we encountered in his time, let him look at Ibn Seerin. For he would abandon some permissible matters due to his fear of sin. And if he wishes to look at the most worshipful man we encountered in his time, let him look at Thabit al-Bunani. For we have not encountered anyone more worshipful than him. You can see him throughout the day fasting, with beads of sweat dripping from his forehead to his feet. And if he wishes to look at the most cautious man we encountered in his time, and the one most deserving of conveying hadiths as he heard them, let him look at Qatadah.
[Machine] "I am imprisoned," he said. "They said, 'Indeed, we have sought permission from the prince, and he has granted it for you.'" He replied, "The prince did not imprison me, but rather it was the one who has authority over me." He was told, "Then go to the one who has authority over [you]." So he went and sought permission from him. Then he was released, and he was washed and shrouded in five garments, one of which was a turban, and he was perfumed with musk from his crown to his feet."
[Machine] It is said, "Indeed, when a man wishes for goodness, he will have a companion from Allah who commands him to do good and prohibits him from evil."
[Machine] Ibn Sirin was a man from the companions of Muhammad ﷺ who would endure days without eating. When he found a piece of skin, he would cut it into strips and if he did not find a nerve on his stomach, he would use a stone.
[Machine] "O Allah, accept from us the best of what we do and overlook our faults in the companions of Paradise and the promise of truth they were given."
[Machine] Hisham, I woke up on a holiday to go out and follow him, to see what he was doing on his way and in his prayers. He seemed cautious and stopped going out at the usual time. I waited for him to come out, but when I delayed, he left. When he passed by, I followed him. He turned around and saw me, and said, "If you were a thief, you would be a bad person. If I had known that this would benefit me and you, I wouldn't have bothered."
[Machine] To greet your father without feeling ashamed of him, then do so. If he has a will, fulfill it. If he has an entrusted item, return it. If he has a debt, settle it. If he has a relative, maintain the connection with them. And know that after this gathering, there will be a separation, then another gathering that will not be followed by a separation, or a separation that will not be followed by a gathering.
[Machine] "He used to say to his companions, 'By Allah, we do not teach you out of ignorance, but we remind you of some of what you know, in case Allah may benefit you from it.'"
[Machine] "If this calamity has caused you to admonish yourself, then it is a blessing upon you. Otherwise, know that your calamity is greater within yourself."
[Machine] "No one hates me in this world except that I will be free from them in the afterlife."

[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about the best religion. He said, "The tolerant Hanafiya religion."
[Machine] Indeed, Allah accepts charity and accepts it with His right hand, and He does not accept anything from it except what is good. Surely, He raises the sustenance just as one of you raises his young horse or camel until the sustenance becomes in line with its owner, just as 'Uhd (i.e. the camel's young) said. I asked 'Abdur-Rahman ibn Al-Qasim about this and he said, "Al-Qasim does not have knowledge about this."
[Machine] "On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ, he said, 'Do you know which charity is the best?' They said, 'Allah and His Messenger know best.' He said, 'To give a gift to your brother, whether it is a coin, the back of a camel, a sheep's milk, or a cow's milk.'"
[Machine] "Learn the Quran and recite it, for you will be rewarded ten times for each letter in it. Indeed, I do not say that "Alif Lam Mim" is one letter, but rather "Alif" is one letter, "Lam" is one letter, and "Mim" is one letter."
[Machine] A secret invitation is better than seventy public ones. And when a servant performs a good deed publicly and does the same in secret, Allah says, "This is truly My servant."
[Machine] From 'Uqbah ibn 'Abd al-Ghafir: "Dinner in congregation is like performing Hajj, and the Fajr prayer in congregation is like performing 'Umrah."

[Machine] We heard Nouf saying, "Verily, the world is likened to a bird, so when its wing is cut off, it falls; and indeed, Basra and Egypt are its two wings, so when they are destroyed, the world will go away."
