[Machine] "He used to say to his companions, 'By Allah, we do not teach you out of ignorance, but we remind you of some of what you know, in case Allah may benefit you from it.'"  

الزهد لأحمد:١٧٩٤حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ قِالِ وَجَدْتُ فِي كِتَابِ أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ الْغَلَابِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ عَنْ عَوْفٍ الْأَعْرَابِيِّ

أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ لِجُلَسَائِهِ «أَمَا وَاللَّهِ مَا نُعَلِّمُكُمْ مِنْ جَهَالَةٍ وَلَكِنَّا نُذَكِّرُكُمْ بَعْضَ مَا تَعْرِفُونَ لَعَلَّ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَنْفَعَكُمْ بِهِ»
