[Machine] Ibn Sireen used to fast one day and break his fast on another day. On the day he used to break his fast, he would have breakfast and not have dinner, then he would have pre-dawn meal and begin fasting.  

الزهد لأحمد:١٧٨٠حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي الْحَسَنُ عَنْ ضَمْرَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ شَوْذَبٍ قَالَ

«كَانَ ابْنُ سِيرِينَ يَصُومُ يَوْمًا وَيُفْطِرُ يَوْمًا وَكَانَ الْيَوْمُ الَّذِي يُفْطِرُ فِيهِ يَتَغَدَّى وَلَا يَتَعَشَّى ثُمَّ يَتَسَحَّرُ وَيُصْبِحُ صَائِمًا»
