[Machine] Harim Al-Abdi spent his night crying at the Lechma spring, the companion of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . He cried all night until the morning, and when morning came, Harim asked him, "Oh Humama, why are you crying?" Humama replied, "I remembered a night whose morning causes graves to shatter, and those inside them to come out." Humama stayed with Harim at night, crying until morning. When morning came, Harim asked him, "What made you cry?" Humama replied, "I remembered a night whose dawn brings scattered stars in the sky, and that made me cry." Sometimes they would go during the day to the market of Ar-Raihan and ask Allah for Paradise. Then they would go to the blacksmiths and seek protection from the fire and then they would go their separate ways to their homes.

[Machine] I do not know what to advise, but sell my armor and pay off my debt for me. If that is not sufficient, sell my servant and I advise you with my rings, from Surah An-Nahl: "Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction" [16:125] until His saying: "And if you are patient, it is better for those who are patient" [16:126].

[Machine] That he asked for permission for some needs, and then he joined his family and stayed as long as he stayed, then he came and said to him: Where were you? He said: I asked your permission on such and such a day, and you gave me permission. He said: Did you want that for that? He said: Yes. Abu al-Ashhab said: It reached me that he said a harsh word to that man, and no one among his companions spoke to him when they saw him angry while he said to his brother what he said. He said: So he said to them: May evil befall you, do you think that I say to my brother what I say and no one of you forbids me from that? O Allah, replace me with bad people for a bad time.

[Machine] Beware of the corrupt scholar. When Umar ibn Al-Khattab heard about him, he wrote to him and felt sorry for him. What is a corrupt scholar? He wrote to him, "By Allah, O Amir al-Mu'minin, I did not intend anything except for good, that he becomes an imam who speaks with knowledge and acts with wickedness, confusing people and leading them astray."

He said, "Welcome, my people, come closer." They said, "By Allah, we cannot come closer to you. The fire has come between us and you." [Machine] While they were riding on their camels, they passed by a place with grass, ornaments, and hay. So their camels began to graze on the grass. Ibn Hayyan said to Ibn 'Aamir, "Does it make you happy that you are a tree from these trees, and that this camel ate you and then threw you out as dung, and you became a bunch (of hay)?" He replied, "No, by Allah! What I hope for from the mercy of Allah is dearer to me than that." Haram bin Hayyan said, "But by Allah! I wish that I was a tree from this tree, and that this camel ate me and then threw me out as dung, and I became a bunch (of hay), and I would not be held accountable on the Day of Resurrection; either to Paradise or to Hell. Woe to you, Ibn 'Aamir! I fear the great accountability." Al-Hasan said, "By Allah! He (Haram) understood them both better and had more knowledge of Allah."
