AHMAD-ZUHD 358:
from Kaʿb b. ʿAlqamah —
[Machine] Indeed, Moses, the Prophet of Allah, when he fled from Pharaoh, he said, "O Lord, guide me." [Allah] said, "I will guide you; do not ever incline towards wrongdoing. And whatever you choose, I have chosen you. Indeed, I am not unaware of what you have done. And put your hand in your pocket; it will come out white without disease. This is among the nine signs you will take to Pharaoh; indeed, he has transgressed." [Moses] said, "My Lord, expand for me my breast [with assurance] and ease for me my task and untie the knot from my tongue that they may understand my speech. And appoint for me a minister from my family - Aaron, my brother. Increase through him my strength and let him share my task that we may exalt You much and remember You much. عن كعب بن علقمه —
إِنَّ مُوسَى نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَمَّا خَرَجَ هَارِبًا مِنْ فِرْعَوْنَ قَالَ يَا رَبِّ أَوْصِنِي قَالَ أُوصِيكَ أَنْ لَا تَعْدِلْ بِي شَيْئًا أَبَدًا إِلَّا اخْتَرْتَنِي عَلَيْهِ فَإِنِّي لَا أَرْحَمُ وَلَا أُزَكِّي مَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ كَذَلِكَ قَالَ وَبِمَا يَا رَبِّ؟ قَالَ بِأُمِّكَ؛ فَإِنَّهَا حَمَلَتْكَ وَهْنًا عَلَى وَهْنٍ قَالَ ثُمَّ مَاذَا يَا رَبِّ؟ قَالَ ثُمَّ بِأَبِيكَ قَالَ ثُمَّ بِمَاذَا؟ قَالَ ثُمَّ أَنْ تُحِبَّ لِلنَّاسِ مَا تُحِبُّ لِنَفْسِكَ وَتَكْرَهَ لَهُمْ مَا تَكْرَهُ لَهَا قَالَ ثُمَّ بِمَاذَا يَا رَبِّ؟ قَالَ ثُمَّ إِنْ أَوْلَيْتُكَ شَيْئًا مِنْ أَمْرِ عِبَادِي فَلَا تُعَنِّهِمْ إِلَيْكَ فِي حَوَائِجِهِمْ؛ فَإِنَّكَ إِنَّمَا تُعَنِّي رُوحِي فَإِنِّي مُبْصِرٌ وَمُسْتَمِعٌ مُشْهِدٌ وَمُسْتَشْهِدٌ
