ahmad-zuhd:352ʿAbdullāh > Bī > Sufyān b. ʿUyaynah

[Machine] Yahya and Isa, peace be upon them, used to come to the village and Isa, ﷺ , would ask about the worst of its people, while Yahya would ask about the best of its people. It was said to him, "Why do you not come down to the worst of people?" He said, "I am a doctor, I heal the sick."  

الزهد لأحمد:٣٥٢حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا أبِي حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ قَالَ

كَانَ يَحْيَى وَعِيسَى عَلَيْهِمَا السَّلَامُ يَأْتِيَانِ الْقَرْيَةَ فَيَسَأَلَ عِيسَى عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ عَنْ شِرَارِ أَهْلِهَا وَيَسْأَلُ يَحْيَى عَنْ خِيَارِ أَهْلِهَا فَيُقَالُ لَهُ لِمَ تَنْزِلُ عَلَى شِرَارِ النَّاسِ؟ قَالَ إِنَّمَا أَنَا طَبِيبٌ أُدَاوِي الْمَرْضَى
