[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered the mosque and mentioned the story of the man who did not pray properly until the Messenger of Allah ﷺ taught him. He then said what he had taught him, and then he bowed until he was at ease, kneeling with his back straight, as mentioned in Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim.  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ دَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ فِي قِصَّةِ الدَّاخِلِ الَّذِي لَمْ يُحْسِنِ الصَّلَاةَ حَتَّى عَلَّمَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ فِيمَا عَلَّمَهُ ثُمَّ ارْكَعْ حَتَّى تَطْمَئِنَّ رَاكِعًا مُخَرَّجٌ فِي الصَّحِيحَينِ  

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ‘No prayer is acceptable in which a man does not settle his spine when bowing and when prostrating.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 870)   

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا يُجْزِي صَلَاةٌ لَا يُقِيمُ الرَّجُلُ صُلْبَهُ فِي الرُّكُوعِ وَالسُّجُودِ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The prayer of a person who does not establish the straightness of his back during the bowing and prostration does not count." This is a sound chain of narration and it is also confirmed.  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا يُجْزِي صَلَاةُ رَجُلٍ لَا يُقِيمُ فِيهَا صُلْبَهُ فِي الرُّكُوعِ وَالسُّجُودِ هَذَا إِسْنَادٌ صَحِيحٌ وَكَذَلِكَ  

[Machine] "The Prophet ﷺ said that a prayer is not acceptable if a person does not maintain their stiffness (straightness) in the bowing and prostration, which is what Yahya ibn Abi Bukayr excelled in."  

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا تُجْزِي صَلَاةٌ لَا يُقِيمُ الرَّجُلُ فِيهَا صُلْبَهُ فِي الرُّكُوعِ وَالسُّجُودِ تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed with his companions, and then sat with a group of them. A man entered and stood up to pray, but he did not perform the ruku' (bowing) or sujood (prostration) properly. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ looked at him and said, "Do you think that if this man were to die, he would die upon a different path than that of Muhammad?" He compared the one who prays without bowing or prostrating properly to a hungry person who only eats one or two dates. What will one or two dates benefit him? So perform ablution properly and be cautious of hellfire. Complete the bowing and prostration. Abu Salih said, "I asked Abu Abdullah Ash'ari, who told you this hadith?" He replied, "The commanders of the armies: Khalid ibn al-Walid, Amr ibn al-As, Shurahbil ibn Hasana, and Yazid ibn Abi Sufyan. All of them heard it from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ."  

صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِأَصْحَابِهِ ثُمَّ جَلَسَ فِي طَائِفَةٍ مِنْهُمْ فَدَخَلَ رَجُلٌ فَقَامَ يُصَلِّي فَجَعَلَ لَا يَرْكَعُ وَيَنْقُرُ فِي سُجُودِهِ وَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَ أَتَرَوْنَ هَذَا لَوْ مَاتَ مَاتَ عَلَى غَيْرِ مِلَّةِ مُحَمَّدٍ؟ يَنْقُرُ صَلَاتَهُ كَمَا يَنْقُرُ الْغُرَابُ الدَّمَ إِنَّمَا مَثَلُ الَّذِي يُصَلِّي وَلَا يَرْكَعُ وَيَنْقُرُ فِي سُجُودِهِ كَالْجَائِعِ لَا يَأْكُلُ إِلَّا تَمْرَةً أَوْ تَمْرَتَيْنِ فَمَاذَا تُغْنِيَانِ عَنْهُ فَأَسْبِغُوا الْوُضُوءَ وَيْلٌ لِلْأَعْقَابِ مِنَ النَّارِ وَأَتِمُّوا الرُّكُوعَ وَالسُّجُودَ قَالَ أَبُو صَالِحٍ فَقُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ مَنْ حَدَّثَكَ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ قَالَ أُمَرَاءُ الْأَجْنَادِ خَالِدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ وَعَمْرُو بْنُ الْعَاصِ وَشُرَحْبِيلُ بْنُ حَسَنَةَ وَيَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ كُلُّ هَؤُلَاءِ سَمِعَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ
