[Machine] Indeed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, when he stood up for prayer, would take it with his right hand and say, "Straighten your rows and align them." Then he would take it with his left hand and say, "Straighten your rows and align them." When the mosque was demolished, Umar bin Khattab searched for it and found that it had been taken by the sons of Amr bin Awf, so he placed it in their mosque. He took it back and it was narrated to us through the gates of Al-Amal in prayer, from Umm Qais bint Muhassin, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, when he made wudu and carried meat, he would take a column as a support in his place of prayer.  

إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا قَامَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ أَخَذَهُ بِيَمِينِهِ فَقَالَ اعْتَدِلُوا سَوُّوا صُفُوفَكُمْ ثُمَّ أَخَذَهُ بِيَسَارِهِ فَقَالَ اعْتَدِلُوا سَوُّوا صُفُوفَكُمْ فَلَمَّا هُدِمَ الْمَسْجِدُ فُقِدَ فَالْتَمَسَهُ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ فَوَجَدَهُ قَدْ أَخَذَهُ بَنُو عَمْرِو بْنُ عَوْفٍ فَجَعَلُوهُ فِي مَسْجِدِهِمْ فَأَخَذَهُ فَأَعَادَهُ وَرُوِّينَا فِي أَبْوَابِ الْعَمَلِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ عَنْ أُمِّ قَيْسٍ بِنْتِ مِحْصَنٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ لَمَّا أَسَنَّ وَحَمَلَ اللَّحْمَ اتَّخَذَ عَمُودًا فِي مُصَلَّاهُ يَعْتَمِدُ عَلَيْهِ
