[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ passed by two graves and said, "Verily, they are being punished for backbiting and urinating in public." He then took a fresh palm branch, split it in half, and placed one half on each grave, saying, "Perhaps their torment will be lessened as long as these two halves remain moist."  

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ مَرَّ بِقَبْرَيْنِ فَقَالَ إِنَّهُمَا لَيُعَذَّبَانِ بِالنَّمِيمَةِ وَالْبَوْلِ وَأَخَذَ جَرِيدَةً رَطْبَةً فَشَقَّهَا بِاثْنَيْنِ وَجَعَلَ عَلَى كُلِّ قَبْرٍ وَاحِدَةً فَقَالَ لَعَلَّهُ أَنْ يُخَفَّفَ عَنْهُمَا مَا دَامَتَا رَطْبَتَيْنِ  

The Prophet ﷺ once passed by two graves and said, "These two persons are being tortured not for a major sin (to avoid). One of them never saved himself from being soiled with his urine, while the other used to go about with calumnies (to make enmity between friends)." The Prophet ﷺ then took a green leaf of a date-palm tree, split it into (pieces) and fixed one on each grave. They said, "O Allah's Apostle! Why have you done so?" He replied, "I hope that their punishment might be lessened till these (the pieces of the leaf) become dry." (See the footnote of Hadith 215). (Using translation from Bukhārī 218)   

مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِقَبْرَيْنِ فَقَالَ إِنَّهُمَا لَيُعَذَّبَانِ وَمَا يُعَذَّبَانِ فِي كَبِيرٍ أَمَّا أَحَدُهُمَا فَكَانَ يَمْشِي بِالنَّمِيمَةِ وَأَمَّا الْآخَرُ فَكَانَ لَا يَسْتَتِرُ مِنَ الْبَوْلِ ثُمَّ أَخَذَ جَرِيدَةً رَطْبَةً فَشَقَّهَا نِصْفَيْنِ ثُمَّ جَعَلَ فِي كُلِّ قَبْرٍ وَاحِدَةً قَالَ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ لِمَ فَعَلْتَ هَذَا؟ قَالَ لَعَلَّهُ أَنْ يُخَفَّفَ عَنْهُمَا مَا لَمْ يَيْبَسَا  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The majority of the punishment of the grave is due to urine." Abu Yahya narrated it from Mujahid, from Ibn Abbas, from the Prophet ﷺ . He then added, "So avoid urine."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَكْثَرُ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ مِنَ الْبَوْلِ وَرَوَاهُ أَبُو يَحْيَى عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَزَادَ فِيهِ فَتَنَزَّهُوا مِنَ الْبَوْلِ  

While we were in the mosque with Messenger of Allah ﷺ, a desert Arab came and stood up and began to urinate in the mosque. The Companions of Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Stop, stop, but the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Don't interrupt him; leave him alone. They left him alone, and when he finished urinating, Messenger of Allah ﷺ called him and said to him: These mosques are not the places meant for urine and filth, but are only for the remembrance of Allah, prayer and the recitation of the Qur'an, or Messenger of Allah said something like that. He (the narrator) said that he (the Holy Prophet) then gave orders to one of the people who brought a bucket of water and poured It over. (Using translation from Muslim 285)   

بَيْنَمَا نَحْنُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ مَعَ نَبِيِّ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا جَاءَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ فَقَامَ يَبُولُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَقَالَ أَصْحَابُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مَهْ مَهْ فَقَالَ دَعُوهُ فَتَرَكُوهُ حَتَّى بَالَ ثُمَّ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ دَعَاهُ فَقَالَ له إِنَّ هَذِهِ الْمَسَاجِدَ لَا تَصْلُحُ لِشَيْءٍ مِنْ هَذَا الْبَوْلِ وَلَا الْقَذَرِ إِنَّمَا هِيَ لِذِكْرِ اللهِ تَعَالَى وَالصَّلَاةِ وَقِرَاءَةِ الْقُرْآنِ أَوْ كَمَا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَمَرَ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْقَوْمِ فَجَاءَ بِدَلْوٍ مِنَ مَاءٍ فَرَشَّهُ عَلَيْهِ  

[Machine] The companions of the Prophet ﷺ poured water on him, so the Prophet ﷺ said, "Do not pour water on him." When he finished, the Prophet ﷺ called for him and said, "These mosques are not intended for defecation, urination, or impurity. They are only intended for reciting the Quran and remembering Allah. Then he ordered some of his companions to bring some water and pour it on him."  

أَصْحَابُ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مَهْ مَهْ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لَا تُزْرِمُوهُ فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ دَعَا بِهِ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَقَالَ إِنَّ هَذِهِ الْمَسَاجِدَ لَا تُتَّخَذُ لِهَذَا الْخَلَاءِ وَالْبَوْلِ وَالْقَذَرِ إِنَّمَا تُتَّخَذُ لِقِرَاءَةِ الْقُرْآنِ وَلِذِكْرِ اللهِ تَعَالَى ثُمَّ أَمَرَ بَعْضَ أَصْحَابِهِ بِذَنُوبٍ أَوْ بِدَلْوٍ مِنْ مَاءٍ فَصَبَّهُ عَلَيْهِ  

The Prophet ﷺ went out to answer the call of nature and asked me to bring three stones. I found two stones and searched for the third but could not find it. So took a dried piece of dung and brought it to him. He took the two stones and threw away the dung and said, "This is a filthy thing." (Using translation from Bukhārī 156)   

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ مَسْعُودٍ يَقُولُ أَتَى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ الْغَائِطَ فَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ آتِيَهُ بِثَلَاثَةِ أَحْجَارٍ فَوَجَدْتُ حَجَرَيْنِ وَالْتَمَسْتُ الثَّالِثَةَ فَلَمْ أَجِدْهُ فَأَخَذْتُ رَوْثَةً فَأَتَيْتُ بِهِنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَأَخَذَ الْحَجَرَيْنِ وَأَلْقَى الرَّوْثَةَ وَقَالَ هَذِهِ رِكْسٌ  

[Machine] I said to Ibn Umar, "If a person from our group lets his camel urinate on him, what should he do?" He replied, "Wash off whatever has come on you from it."  

قُلْتُ لِابْنِ عُمَرَ الرَّجُلُ مِنَّا يَبْعَثُ نَاقَتَهُ فَيُصِيبُهُ نَضْحٌ مِنْ بَوْلِهَا قَالَ اغْسِلْ مَا أَصَابَكَ مِنْهُ  

[Machine] Everything from animals, their urine is washed. As for the Hadith of Anas in the story of the Uraniyyin, the Prophet ﷺ ordered them to stay with the camels and drink their milk and urine. Ash-Shafi'i, may Allah have mercy on him, said that this is allowed in cases of necessity, just as eating dead animals is allowed in cases of necessity, and the ruling of necessities is different from other rulings. We mention it, if Allah wills, in its place in the book.  

كُلُّ شَيْءٍ مِنَ الدَّوَابِّ فَإِنَّ بَوْلَهُ يُغْسَلُ وَأَمَّا حَدِيثُ أَنَسٍ فِي قِصَّةِ الْعُرَنِيِّينِ فَإِنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَمَرَهُمْ أَنْ يَكُونُوا فِي الْإِبِلِ وَيَشْرَبُوا مِنْ أَلْبَانِهَا وَأَبْوَالِهَا فَقَدْ قَالَ الشَّافِعِيُّ رَحِمَهُ اللهُ هَذَا عَلَى الضَّرُورَةِ كَمَا أُجِيزَ عَلَى الضَّرُورَةِ أَكْلُ الْمَيْتَةِ وَحُكْمُ الضَّرُورَاتِ مُخَالِفٌ لِغَيْرِهِ وَنَحْنُ نَذْكُرُهُ إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ تَعَالَى فِي مَوْضِعِهِ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If his flesh is eaten, there is no harm in his urine, so it is as such."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَا أُكِلَ لَحْمُهُ فَلَا بَأْسَ بِبَوْلِهِ فَهَكَذَا  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "If someone's flesh is not eaten, there is no harm in their urine." Amr ibn Al-Husayn Al-Uqayli and Yahya ibn Al-Ala Al-Razi are weak narrators, while Sawareh ibn Mus'ab is also weak and it was said about him, "If someone's flesh is not eaten, there is no harm in their vomit." It has been mentioned in the book of purification, so nothing can be valid in this matter from the Prophet ﷺ .  

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مَا أُكِلَ لَحْمُهُ فَلَا بَأْسَ بِبَوْلِهِ وَعَمْرُو بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الْعُقَيْلِيُّ وَيَحْيَى بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ الرَّازِيُّ ضَعِيفَانِ وَسَوَّارُ بْنُ مُصْعَبٍ ضَعِيفٌ وَقِيلَ عَنْهُ مَا أُكِلَ لَحْمُهُ فَلَا بَأْسَ بِسُؤْرِهِ وَقَدْ مَضَى فِي كِتَابِ الطَّهَارَةِ فَلَا يَصِحُّ فِي هَذَا عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ شَيْءٌ  

[Machine] That Uthman ibn Affan used to command to wash the dogs in the bathroom.  

أَنَّ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ ؓ كَانَ يَأْمُرُ بِغَسْلِ الْكِلَابِ فِي الْحَمَّامِ
