I said: Messenger of Allah, which mosque was set up first on the earth? He said: Al-Masjid al-Haram (the sacred). I (again) said: Then which next? He said: It was the Masjid Aqsa. I (again) said: How long the space of time (between their setting up)? He (the Holy Prophet) said: It was forty years. And whenever the time comes for prayer, pray there, for that is a mosque; and in the hadith transmitted by Abu Kamil (the words are):" Whenever time comes for prayer, pray, for that is a mosque (for you)." (Using translation from Muslim 520a)   

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أِيُّ مَسْجِدٍ وُضِعَ فِي الْأَرْضِ أَوَّلًا؟ قَالَ الْمَسْجِدُ الْحَرَامُ قَالَ قُلْتُ ثُمَّ أِيُّ؟ قَالَ ثُمَّ الْمَسْجِدُ الْأَقْصَى قَالَ قُلْتُ كَمْ بَيْنَهُمَا؟ قَالَ أَرْبَعُونَ سَنَةً فَأَيْنَمَا أَدْرَكَتْكَ الصَّلَاةُ فَصَلِّ فَهُوَ مَسْجِدٌ  

The Prophet ﷺ said, "I have been given five things which were not given to any one else before me. -1. Allah made me victorious by awe, (by His frightening my enemies) for a distance of one month's journey. -2. The earth has been made for me (and for my followers) a place for praying and a thing to perform Tayammum, therefore anyone of my followers can pray wherever the time of a prayer is due. -3. The booty has been made Halal (lawful) for me yet it was not lawful for anyone else before me. -4. I have been given the right of intercession (on the Day of Resurrection). -5. Every Prophet used to be sent to his nation only but I have been sent to all mankind. (Using translation from Bukhārī 335)   

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ أُعْطِيتُ خَمْسًا لَمْ يُعْطَهُنَّ أَحَدٌ قَبْلُ نُصِرْتُ بِالرُّعْبِ مَسِيرَةَ شَهْرٍ وَأُحِلَّتْ لِيَ الْغَنَائِمُ وَلَمْ تَحِلَّ لِأَحَدٍ قَبْلِي وَجُعِلَتْ لِيَ الْأَرْضُ مَسْجِدًا وَطَهُورًا فَأَيُّمَا رَجُلٍ مِنْ أُمَّتِي أَدْرَكَتْهُ الصَّلَاةُ فَلْيُصَلِّ وَأُعْطِيتُ الشَّفَاعَةَ وَكُلُّ نَبِيٍّ يُبْعَثُ إِلَى قَوْمِهِ خَاصَّةً وَبُعِثْتُ إِلَى النَّاسِ عَامَّةً أَخْرَجَاهُ فِي الصَّحِيحِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ هُشَيْمٍ  

I have been given superiority over the other prophets in six respects: I have been given words which are concise but comprehensive in meaning; I have been helped by terror (in the hearts of enemies): spoils have been made lawful to me: the earth has been made for me clean and a place of worship; I have been sent to all mankind and the line of prophets is closed with me. (Using translation from Muslim 523a)   

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ فُضِّلْتُ عَلَى الْأَنْبِيَاءِ بِسِتٍّ أُعْطِيتُ جَوَامِعَ الْكَلِمِ وَنُصِرْتُ بِالرُّعْبِ وَأُحِلَّتْ لِيَ الْغَنَائِمُ وَجُعِلَتْ لِيَ الْأَرْضُ طَهُورًا وَمَسْجِدًا وَأُرْسِلْتُ إِلَى الْخَلْقِ كَافَّةً وَخُتِمَ بِيَ النَّبِيُّونَ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: I have been given five things that no other prophet was given before me. The earth has been made a place of purity and a mosque for me, so whenever the time of prayer comes, I can pray wherever I am. No prophet before me was allowed to pray until they reached the place of their mihrab. I have been given the ability to instill fear in the hearts of my enemies from a month's distance. Allah throws fear into their hearts. The prophets before me used to divide their spoils among themselves, but the fire would consume them. I have been commanded to distribute them among the needy of my Ummah (community). There is no prophet left except that his supplication will be answered, and I have saved my intercession for the members of my Ummah.  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أُعْطِيتُ خَمْسًا لَمْ يُعْطَهُنَّ أَحَدٌ قَبْلِي مِنَ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ جُعِلَتْ لِيَ الْأَرْضُ طَهُورًا وَمَسْجِدًا وَلَمْ يَكُنْ نَبِيٌّ مِنَ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ يُصَلِّي حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ مِحْرَابَهُ وَأُعْطِيتُ الرُّعْبَ مَسِيرَةَ شَهْرٍ يَكُونُ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ مَسِيرَةُ شَهْرٍ فَيَقْذِفُ اللهُ الرُّعْبَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ وَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ يُبْعَثُ إِلَى خَاصَّةِ قَوْمِهِ وَبُعِثْتُ أَنَا إِلَى الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنْسِ وَكَانَتِ الْأَنْبِيَاءُ يَعْزِلُونَ الْخُمْسَ فَتَجِيءُ النَّارُ فَتَأْكُلُهُ وَأُمِرْتُ أَنَا أَنْ أَقْسِمَهَا فِي فُقَرَاءِ أُمَّتِي وَلَمْ يَبْقَ نَبِيٌّ إِلَّا أُعْطِيَ سُؤْلَهُ وَأَخَّرْتُ شَفَاعَتِي لِأُمَّتِي  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "I have been granted four things: the earth has been made a place of prayer and purification for me, so whenever a man from my nation wants to pray and cannot find water, he can pray on the earth and it will purify him. I have been given victory through awe from a month's distance of travel. The spoils have been made lawful for me, and they have been narrated to us by Jabir bin Abdullah and Abu Hurairah."  

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ فُضِّلْتُ بِأَرْبَعٍ جُعِلَتْ لِيَ الْأَرْضُ مَسْجِدًا وَطَهُورًا فَأَيُّمَا رَجُلٍ مِنْ أُمَّتِي أَتَى الصَّلَاةَ فَلَمْ يَجِدْ مَا يُصَلِّي عَلَيْهِ وَجَدَ الْأَرْضَ مَسْجِدًا وَطَهُورًا وَأُرْسِلْتُ إِلَى النَّاسِ كَافَّةً وَنُصِرْتُ بِالرُّعْبِ مِنْ مَسِيرَةِ شَهْرَيْنِ يَسِيرُ بَيْنَ يَدِيَّ وَأُحِلَّتْ لِيَ الْغَنَائِمُ وَرُوِّينَاهُ فِي حَدِيثِ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ
