[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to go out to the mosque after the call to prayer. When he saw few people in the mosque, he would sit until he saw a group of them. Then, he would pray. When he went out and saw a group, he would establish the prayer. Musa ibn Uqbah also narrated from Nafi' ibn Jubayr from Mas'ud ibn al-Hakam al-Zurqi from Ali ibn Abi Talib, a similar narration. Abu Asim also narrated from Ibn Jurayj.  

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَخْرُجُ بَعْدَ النِّدَاءِ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ فَإِذَا رَأَى أَهْلَ الْمَسْجِدِ قَلِيلًا جَلَسَ حَتَّى يَرَى مِنْهُمْ جَمَاعَةً ثُمَّ يُصَلِّي وَكَانَ إِذَا خَرَجَ فَرَأَى جَمَاعَةً أَقَامَ الصَّلَاةَ قَالَ وَحَدَّثَنِي مُوسَى بْنُ عُقْبَةَ أَيْضًا عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ مَسْعُودِ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ الزُّرَقِيِّ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ؓ مِثْلَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ وَرَوَاهُ أَيْضًا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ
