I happened to pass before Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon bin) with my lower garment trailing (upon the ground). He said: 'Abdullah, tug up your lower garment,, I tugged it up, and he again said: Tug it still further, and I tugged it still further and I went on tugging it afterward, whereupon some of the people said: To what extent? Thereupon he said: To the middle of the shanks. (Using translation from Muslim 2086)   

مَرَرْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَفِي إِزَارِي اسْتِرْخَاءٌ فَقَالَ يَا عَبْدَ اللهِ ارْفَعْ إِزَارَكَ فَرَفَعْتُهُ فَقَالَ زِدْ فَزِدْتُ فَمَا زِلْتُ أَتَحَرَّى بَعْدُ فَقَالَ بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ أَيْنَ؟ فَقَالَ أَنْصَافَ السَّاقَيْنِ  

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "The hem of a believer's garment should reach halfway between the ankles and the shins, and there is no harm in what is between that and the two ankles. However, whatever is below that is in the Fire. Allah will not look at those who drag their garments out of arrogance." This is a narration of Malik and Abdullah.  

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِزْرَةُ الْمُؤْمِنِ إِلَى نِصْفِ السَّاقَيْنِ وَلَا جُنَاحَ فِيمَا بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ فَمَا أَسْفَلَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ فَفِي النَّارِ لَا يَنْظُرُ اللهُ إِلَى مَنْ يَجُرُّ إِزَارَهُ بَطَرًا لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ مَالِكٍ وَعَبْدِ اللهِ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Nothing below the ankles of the garment will be in the Hellfire." In another narration from Abdullah ibn Samad, it is reported that the Prophet ﷺ said, "What is below the ankles of the garment will be in the Hellfire."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَا كَانَ أَسْفَلَ مِنَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ مِنَ الْإِزَارِ فَفِي النَّارِ لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ آدَمَ وَفِي رِوَايَةِ عَبْدِ الصَّمَدِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَا تَحْتَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ مِنَ الْإِزَارِ فِي النَّارِ  

What the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said about lower garment also applies to shirt. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4095)   

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي الْإِزَارِ فَهُوَ فِي الْقَمِيصِ
