[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered the mosque and mentioned the hadith about the story of the person who entered the mosque and in it (the hadith) is: "then raise until you are standing upright and your feet are evenly placed, for it is an authentic narration in the two Sahihs."  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ دَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ فِي قِصَّةِ الدَّاخِلِ وَفِيهِ ثُمَّ ارْفَعْ حَتَّى تَعْتَدِلَ قَائِمًا مُخَرَّجٌ فِي الصَّحِيحَيْنِ  

[Machine] He said one day, and that was not during prayer time, "Shall I show you how the prayer of the Messenger of Allah, may ﷺ , used to be?" Then he stood and performed the standing position perfectly, then he bowed and performed the bowing position perfectly, then he raised his head and stood straight for a moment. Abu Qilaba said, "Our Shaykh, Abu Burayd, prayed with us and he used to sit upright when lifting his head from the last prostration of the first unit, then he stood up."  

قَالَ يَوْمًا وَذَلِكَ فِي غَيْرِ وَقْتِ الصَّلَاةِ أَلَا أُرِيَكُمْ كَيْفَ كَانَ صَلَاةُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَامَ فَأَمْكَنَ الْقِيَامَ ثُمَّ رَكَعَ فَأَمْكَنَ الرُّكُوعَ ثُمَّ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ فَانْتَصَبَ قَائِمًا هُنَيْئَةً قَالَ أَبُو قِلَابَةَ وَصَلَّى بِنَا صَلَاةَ شَيْخِنَا هَذَا أَبِي بُرَيْدٍ وَكَانَ أَبُو بُرَيْدٍ إِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ السَّجْدَةِ الْأَخِيرَةِ مِنَ الرَّكْعَةِ الْأُولَى اسْتَوَى قَاعِدًا ثُمَّ نَهَضَ  

[Machine] He was sitting with some companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and mentioned the hadith narrated by Abu Humaid Al-Sa'idi about the description of the Prophet's prayer. He said, "When he raised his head, he would stay in the upright position until every vertebra returned to its place."  

أَنَّهُ كَانَ جَالِسًا مَعَ نَفَرٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ عَنْ أَبِي حُمَيْدٍ السَّاعِدِيِّ فِي صِفَةِ صَلَاةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ فَإِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ اسْتَوَى حَتَّى يَعُودَ كُلُّ فَقَارٍ مَكَانَهُ  

Anas used to demonstrate to us the prayer of the Prophet ﷺ and while demonstrating, he used to raise his head from bowing and stand so long that we would say that he had forgotten (the prostration). (Using translation from Bukhārī 800)   

كَانَ أَنَسٌ ؓ يَنْعَتُ لَنَا صَلَاةَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُصَلِّي فَإِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الرُّكُوعِ قَامَ حَتَّى نَقُولَ قَدْ نَسِيَ  

[Machine] "That I pray with you as I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ praying with us," Hammād said, Thābit said, "And Anas used to do something with us that I don't see you doing. When he raised his head from the bowing position, he stood up straight until the person saying the prayer said that he had forgotten. And when he raised his head from prostration, he remained in a sitting position until the person saying the prayer said that he had forgotten."  

أَنْ أُصَلِّيَ بِكُمْ كَمَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي بِنَا قَالَ حَمَّادٌ قَالَ ثَابِتٌ وَكَانَ أَنَسٌ يَصْنَعُ بِنَا شَيْئًا لَا أَرَاكُمْ تَصْنَعُونَهُ كَانَ إِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الرُّكُوعِ انْتَصَبَ قَائِمًا حَتَّى يَقُولَ الْقَائِلُ قَدْ نَسِيَ وَإِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ السَّجْدَةِ اسْتَوَى جَالِسًا حَتَّى يَقُولَ الْقَائِلُ قَدْ نَسِيَ  

There dominated in Kufa a man whose name was men- tioned as Zaman b. al-Ash'ath, who ordered Abu 'Ubaidah b. 'Abdullah to lead people in prayer and he accordingly used to lead them. Whenever he raised his head after bowing, he stood up equal to the time that I can recite (this supplication): O Allah! our Lord! unto Thee be the praise which would fill the heavens and the earth, and that which will please Thee besides them I Worthy art Thou of all praise and glory. None can prevent that which Thou bestowest, and none can bestow that whichthou preventest. And the greatness of the great will not avail him against Thee. Hakam (the narrator) said: I made a mention of that to Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Laila who reported: I heard al-Bara' b. 'Azib say that the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his bowing, and when he lifted his head from bowing, and his prostration, and between the two prostrations (all these acts) were nearly proportionate. I made a mention of that to 'Ar b. Murrah and he said: I saw Ibn Abi Laili (saying the prayer), but his prayer was not like this. (Using translation from Muslim 471b)   

أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ بِالنَّاسِ فَكَانَ يُصَلِّي فَإِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الرُّكُوعِ قَامَ قَدْرَ مَا أَقُولُ اللهُمَّ رَبَّنَا لَكَ الْحَمْدُ مِلْءَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمِلْءَ الْأَرْضِ وَمِلْءَ مَا شِئْتَ مِنْ شَيْءٍ بَعْدُ أَهْلَ الثَّنَاءِ وَالْمَجْدِ لَا مَانِعَ لِمَا أَعْطَيْتَ وَلَا مُعْطِيَ لِمَا مَنَعْتَ وَلَا يَنْفَعُ ذَا الْجَدِّ مِنْكَ الْجَدُّ قَالَ الْحَكَمُ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ الْبَرَاءَ يَقُولُ كَانَتْ صَلَاةُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَرُكُوعُهُ وَإِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الرُّكُوعِ وَسُجُودُهُ وَمَا بَيْنَ السَّجْدَتَيْنِ قَرِيبًا مِنَ السَّوَاءِ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ فَذَكَرْتُهُ لِعَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ فَقَالَ قَدْ رَأَيْتُ ابْنَ أَبِي لَيْلَى فَلَمْ تَكُنْ صَلَاتُهُ كَذَا قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ هَذَا لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ أَبِي عَمْرٍو وَرَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ
