3.215 [Machine] Where does he place his hands in Sujood?

bayhaqi:2691Abū ʿAbdullāh al-Ḥāfiẓ > Abū Naṣr Muḥammad b. Ḥāmid al-Tirmidhī > Muḥammad b. Ḥibbān > Ṣāliḥ b. ʿAbdullāh al-Tirmidhī > ʿAbd al-Wāḥid b. Ziyād > ʿĀṣim b. Kulayb from his father > Wāʾil b. Ḥujr al-Ḥaḍramī

[Machine] "I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "I want to watch how he prays." He ﷺ stood up, faced the qibla, and said the takbeer (saying 'Allahu Akbar'). He raised his hands until they were in line with his shoulders. Then, when he performed the rukoo' (bowing), he placed his hands on his knees. When he raised his head from the rukoo', he raised his hands until they were in line with his shoulders. Then, when he prostrated, he placed his face between his hands in that position. Abdul-Wahid ibn Ziyad narrated from Asim that his hands were in line with his shoulders in raising his hands, and Sufyan ibn Uyaynah confirmed this. Bishr ibn al-Mufaddal and others narrated from Asim that his hands were in line with his ears in raising his hands. And when he prostrated, he placed his head between his hands in that position."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to have his hands positioned as far as his ears when he prostrated.

bayhaqi:2693Wakīʿ > al-Thawrī Biʾisnādih Hadhā

[Machine] I saw the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , when he prostrated and his hands were near his ears. Abu Bakr ibn al-Hassan al-Qadi informed us that Hajib ibn Ahmad reported to him, Abdullah ibn Hashim narrated from Waki', who narrated from Sufyan, that he mentioned it. This narration is closer to the narration of Abu Humaid al-Sa'idi and his companions.

[Machine] Abu Humaid, Abu Usaid, Sahl ibn Saad, and Muhammad ibn Muslim gathered together and began talking about the prayer of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Abu Humaid said, "I know the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ the most" and then he mentioned the hadeeth and said, "Then he prostrated, placing his nose and forehead on the ground, and moved his hands away from his sides, placing them next to his shoulders."
