[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ after returning from the Battle of Khaybar, mentioned a hadith in which he said, "Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed ablution, and ordered Bilal to call for prayer, so he led them in the Fajr prayer."  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ حِينَ قَفَلَ مِنْ غَزْوَةِ خَيْبَرَ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ وَفِيهِ قَالَ ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَمَرَ بِلَالًا فَأَقَامَ الصَّلَاةَ فَصَلَّى بِهِمُ الصُّبْحَ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ celebrated our return from Khaybar and asked, "Who will be in charge of maintaining our prayers?" Bilal responded, "I will." We all fell asleep until the sun had risen. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Move from the place that brought you into neglect." He asked Bilal, "Did you sleep?" Bilal replied, "The one who controls your breath has taken mine." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded Bilal to give the call to prayer and to establish the prayer. He said, "Whoever forgets a prayer should perform it as soon as they remember, for Allah said, 'Establish prayer for My remembrance' (Quran 20:14)." This narration is confirmed by Malik in his Al-Muwatta, narrated by Az-Zuhri from Ibn Musayyib. It mentions the adhan (call to prayer) and the adhan is mentioned as a part of this story, and the authenticity of this part of the story is established.  

عَرَّسَ بِنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَرْجِعَهُ مِنْ خَيْبَرَ فَقَالَ مَنْ يَحْفَظُ عَلَيْنَا الصَّلَاةَ؟ فَقَالَ بِلَالٌ أَنَا فَنَامُوا حَتَّى طَلَعَتِ الشَّمْسُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ تَحَوَّلُوا عَنْ مَكَانِكُمُ الَّذِي أَصَابَتْكُمْ بِهِ الْغَفْلَةُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَا بِلَالُ نِمْتَ؟ فَقَالَ أَخَذَ بِنَفْسِي الَّذِي أَخَذَ بِأَنْفَاسِكُمْ فَأَمَرَ بِلَالًا فَأَذَّنَ وَأَقَامَ وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ نَسِيَ صَلَاةً فَلْيُصَلِّهَا إِذَا ذَكَرَهَا فَإِنَّ اللهَ ﷻ قَالَ {أَقِمِ الصَّلَاةَ لِذِكْرِي} [طه 14] وَرَوَاهُ مَالِكٌ فِي الْمُوَطَّأِ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ مُرْسَلًا وَذَكَرَ فِيهِ الْأَذَانَ وَالْأَذَانُ فِي هَذِهِ الْقِصَّةِ صَحِيحٌ ثَابِتٌ قَدْ  

[Machine] We accompanied the Messenger of Allah ﷺ one night, and some of the people said, "If only you would marry one of us, O Messenger of Allah!" He said, "I fear that you would neglect the prayer." Bilal said, "I will wake you up." So the people went to sleep and Bilal leaned his back against his riding animal and dozed off. When the sun rose, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ woke up and his forehead was creased. He said, "O Bilal, what did you do?" Bilal said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have never slept like that before." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, Allah takes your souls when He wills and returns them to you when He wills." Then he said, "O Bilal, get up and call the people to prayer." So Bilal performed ablution and when the sun rose and became white, he stood up and prayed.  

سَرَيْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ لَيْلَةً فَقَالَ بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ لَوْ عَرَّسْتَ بِنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ فَقَالَ إِنِّي أَخَافُ أَنْ تَنَامُوا عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ فَقَالَ بِلَالٌ أَنَا أُوقِظُكُمْ فَنَزَلَ الْقَوْمُ فَاضْطَجَعُوا وَأَسْنَدَ بِلَالٌ ظَهْرَهُ إِلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ فَغَلَبَتْهُ عَيْنُهُ فَاسْتَيْقَظَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَقَدْ طَلَعَ حَاجِبُ الشَّمْسُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَا بِلَالُ أَيْنَ مَا قُلْتَ؟ قَالَ بِلَالٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا أُلْقِيَتْ عَلَيَّ مِنْ نَوْمَةٍ مِثْلِهَا قَطُّ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ اللهَ قَبَضَ أَرْوَاحَكُمْ حِينَ شَاءَ وَرَدَّهَا إِلَيْكُمْ حِينَ شَاءَ ثُمَّ قَالَ يَا بِلَالُ قُمْ فَآذِنِ النَّاسَ بِالصَّلَاةِ فَتَوَضَّأَ فَلَمَّا ارْتَفَعَتِ الشَّمْسُ وَابْيَضَّتْ قَامَ فَصَلَّى  

[Machine] We were on a journey with the Prophet ﷺ, and he mentioned the importance of praying in our dreams. When he woke up, we complained to him about what had afflicted us, and he said, "There is no harm or damage, it is just a whisper from Satan." Then he said, "Continue your journey." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ continued the journey and went a short distance and stopped. He then called for ablution and called for the prayer, and he prayed with the people.  

كُنَّا فِي سَفَرٍ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ فِي نَوْمِهِمْ عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ قَالَ فَلَمَّا اسْتَيْقَظَ شَكَوْنَا إِلَيْهِ الَّذِي أَصَابَنَا فَقَالَ لَا ضَيْرَ أَوْ لَا ضَرَرَ شَكَّ عَوْفٌ فَقَالَ ارْتَحِلُوا فَارْتَحَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَسَارَ غَيْرَ بَعِيدٍ فَنَزَلَ فَدَعَا بِوَضُوءٍ وَنَادَى بِالصَّلَاةِ فَصَلَّى بِالنَّاسِ  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ was traveling and he fell asleep until the sun rose. He commanded Bilal to give the call to prayer and he performed two units of prayer. Then he waited until the sun had risen, and he commanded Bilal to stand and he led the prayer with them. And so it was.  

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ فِي سَفَرٍ فَنَامَ عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ حَتَّى طَلَعَتِ الشَّمْسُ قَالَ فَأَمَرَ بِلَالًا فَأَذَّنَ وَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ انْتَظَرَ حَتَّى اسْتَعْلَتِ الشَّمْسُ ثُمَّ أَمَرَهُ فَأَقَامَ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ وَكَذَلِكَ  

[Machine] We spent a night with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and he mentioned the topic of prayer in their sleep until the sun rose. Then he ordered Bilal to call the Adhan (Islamic call to prayer) and then to establish the prayer.  

سَرَيْنَا لَيْلَةً مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ فِي نَوْمِهِمْ عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ حَتَّى طَلَعَتِ الشَّمْسُ وَقَالَ فِيهِ فَأَمَرُ بِلَالًا فَأَذَّنَ ثُمَّ أَقَامَ  

[Machine] "We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during some of his journeys and he fell asleep without praying the dawn prayer until the sun had risen. Neither the Messenger of Allah ﷺ nor any of his companions woke up until they were affected by the intense heat of the sun. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ instructed them to move away from that place, then he commanded Bilal to give the call to prayer. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed the two units of the dawn prayer and ordered his companions to pray the two units of the dawn prayer. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered Bilal to establish the prayer, so he prayed and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ narrated this from Ibn Abbas and Dhi Makhbar Al-Habashi and Abdullah bin Amr bin Al-Aas, with a raised chain of narration to the Prophet ﷺ ."  

كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي بَعْضِ أَسْفَارِهِ فَنَامَ وَلَمْ يُصَلِّ الصُّبْحَ حَتَّى طَلَعَتِ الشَّمْسُ فَلَمْ يَسْتَيْقِظْ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَلَا أَحَدٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ حَتَّى آذَاهُمْ حَرُّ الشَّمْسِ فَأَمَرَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ يَتَنَحَّوْا عَنْ ذَلِكَ الْمَكَانِ ثُمَّ أَمَرَ بِلَالًا فَأَذَّنَ ثُمَّ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ رَكْعَتَيِ الْفَجْرِ وَأَمَرَ أَصْحَابَهُ فَصَلَّوْا رَكْعَتَيِ الْفَجْرِ ثُمَّ أَمَرَ بِلَالًا فَأَقَامَ الصَّلَاةَ فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَرُوِّينَا فِي ذَلِكَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَذِي مِخْبَرٍ الْحَبَشِيِّ وَعَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ مَرْفُوعًا إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ  

[Machine] And by Allah, I think that I have slept, and not felt, prayed, and not washed. He said, "Then wash and clean what you have seen on your clothing and sprinkle what you have not seen. Then call the adhan and establish the prayer, then pray after the height of the morning.  

وَاللهِ مَا أَظُنُّ إِلَّا وَأَنِّي قَدِ احْتَلَمَتُ وَمَا شَعَرْتُ وَصَلَّيْتُ وَمَا اغْتَسَلَتُ قَالَ فَاغْتَسَلَ وَغَسَلَ مَا رَأَى فِي ثَوْبِهِ وَنَضَحَ مَا لَمْ يَرَ وَأَذَّنَ وَأَقَامَ ثُمَّ صَلَّى بَعْدَ ارْتِفَاعِ الضُّحَى مُتَمَكِّنًا
