[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to not complete the Takbeer. And in the narration of 'Amr from Ibn 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abza from his father, he prayed with the Prophet ﷺ , and he used to not complete the Takbeer. So, he (the narrator) may have raised his hands for Takbeer but did not hear it, and he may have left it once to clarify the permissibility and Allah knows best.  

البيهقي:٢٥٠٠مِمَّا أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أنبأ أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ ثنا شُعْبَةُ ح وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أنبأ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ الْكَعْبِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ أنبأ شُعْبَةُ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عِمْرَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى عَنْ أَبِيهِ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ لَا يُتِمُّ التَّكْبِيرَ وَفِي حَدِيثِ عَمْرٍو عَنِ ابْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّهُ صَلَّى مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَكَانَ لَا يُتِمُّ التَّكْبِيرَ فَقَدْ يَكُونُ كَبَّرَ وَلَمْ يَسْمَعْ وَقَدْ يَكُونُ تَرَكَ مَرَّةً لِيُبَيِّنَ الْجَوَازَ وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ
