[Machine] As for the two sheikhs, they did not mention anything beyond the virtues. We have started in the first mention of the companion by discussing his lineage and death, then we mentioned what is valid about their conditions from their virtues that they did not mention. So I did not forget to mention Muhammad ibn Umar al-Waqidi and his peers in knowledge.

[Machine] "And Safwan ibn al-Mu'attal was known as Abu Amr, and he embraced Islam before the battle of Al-Muraysi'a and witnessed it with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . He also witnessed with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ after that the Battle of the Trench and all other major events. He was with Kurz ibn Jabir al-Fihri seeking out the Qurayshi polytheists who had attacked the camel of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the Battle of Dhi al-Jadir. Safwan ibn al-Mu'attal died in Shamshat in the year sixty."

“Safwan bin Mu’attal asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: ‘O Messenger of Allah, I want to ask you about something of which you have knowledge and I know nothing.’ He said: ‘What is it?’ He said: ‘Is there any time of the night or day when it is disliked to perform prayer? He said: ‘Yes, when you have prayed the Subh, then do not pray until the sun has risen, for it rises between the two horns of Satan. Then pray, for the prayer is attended (by the angels) and is acceptable (to Allah) until the sun is right overhead like a spear. For at that time Hell is heated up and its gates are opened. (Then refrain from prayer) until the sun passes the zenith. Then when it has passed the zenith, the prayer is attended (by the angels) and is acceptable (to Allah) until you pray the ‘Asr. Then stop praying until the sun has set.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1252)

[Machine] "And Safwan said when he struck him [Al-Bahr Al-Taweel]: 'Take the sword's flies from me, for I am just a young boy. When I engage in combat, I am not a poet, but I protect my family and seek vengeance from the one who shoots aimlessly, the innocent and pure.' Aisha said: Safwan escaped, and Hassan came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, preparing himself. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked him to give him a strike from Safwan. So he gave it to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then compensated him with a great palm tree wall and a Roman well called "Sireen". Hassan sold the wall to Muawiya ibn Abi Sufyan during his governorship, for a great amount of money."

[Machine] "We went out as pilgrims, and when we were in the valley, suddenly a snake appeared and began to agitate. It did not take long before it died. One of us took a piece of his garment, wrapped the snake in it, and buried it in the ground. Then we proceeded to Makkah. While we were in the Sacred Mosque (Al-Masjid al-Haram), a person approached us and asked, 'Which one of you is the companion of Amr ibn Jabir?' We replied, 'We do not know Amr ibn Jabir.' He then asked, 'Which one of you is the companion of the jinn?' We said, 'This is the one.' He said, 'May Allah reward you well. He was the last of the nine who have come to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to listen to the Quran.' Al-Dhahabi remained silent about it in his summarization."

[Machine] The beginning of the meal of the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was in the hands of his companions this night and this night. So, it went around to me and I prepared the meal for the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and I took it to him. Sufyan bin Hamza said, "Hamza bin Amr Al-Aslami, nicknamed Abu Muhammad, died in the year sixty-one, at the age of seventy-one."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ delivered a sermon to us in Arafat, praising and glorifying Allah. [Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: "Indeed, before the Hour there will be trials like pieces of dark smoke. The heart of a person will die from it, just as his body dies. In the morning, a person will be a believer, and in the evening, he will be a disbeliever. Similarly, a person will be a believer in the evening, and in the morning, he will be a disbeliever. People will sell their religion for a small worldly gain."
And that you should consider him dead while you are his brothers and his companions amongst those trials.

٢٧۔٢٢٨ ذِكْرُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ بْنِ وَائِلٍ السَّهْمِيِّ ؓ

He was a man who was mentioned with a long body, red complexion, with great calves, a white head, and beard. He became blind in his old age. Abdullah ibn Amr passed away in Sham (Syria) in the year sixty-five, at that time he was seventy-two years old. He was also known as Abu Muhammad."
[Machine] And the death of my father, Muhammad Abdullah bin Amr bin Al-Aas, and his mother Raita bint Munabbih bin Al-Hajjaj bin Aamir bin Hudhaifah bin Saad bin Sahm, occurred in the year sixty-five. He used to dye his hair black, and Amr bin Al-Aas was twelve years older than his son.

[Machine] Yes, I know you as a sheikh, but today you are a young man. I have heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "Yellow is the dye of the believer, red is the dye of the Muslim, and black is the dye of the disbeliever." This is a Hadith with a questionable narrator.

[Machine] Umm Abdullah, the daughter of Raita bin Munabbih bin Al-Hajjaj, was kind to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . One day he came to her and said, "How are you, Umm Abdullah?" She replied, "I am fine, and Abdullah is a man who has renounced the world." His father told him on the day of Siffin, 'Go out and fight.' He said, 'O my father, are you commanding me to go out and fight, even though I have heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ things that I have never heard before? He said, 'I adjure you by Allah, do you know that what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to you was true? He took your hand and put it in mine and said, 'Obey your father Amr bin Al-As.' He said, 'Yes.' He said, 'I am commanding you to fight.' So he went out and fought. When the war was over, Abdullah bin Amr said, 'If you had seen the position and the scene of my station at Siffin, when in the evening the people of Iraq came like clouds in spring, and the Zawahir shook them. If you say that they have changed overnight, we have battalions of them that have stood firm, and other battalions shook. They said to us, 'We think that you should give your allegiance to Ali.' We said, 'No, we think that you should fight each other.'

[Machine] We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in a battle, and the people got scared. So, I went out with my weapon, and I saw Salim, the servant of Abu Hudhayfah, with his weapon walking calmly. I said, "I will follow the example of this righteous man." He came and sat by the door of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and I sat with him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out angrily and said, "O people, what is this indecision? What is this negligence? Have you become so weak that you cannot do what these two believing men have done?"

[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, may I take permission to write down what I hear from you?" He said, "Yes." I asked about pleasure and anger. He said, "Yes, for it is not appropriate for me to say anything except the truth in pleasure and anger." This hadith has a sound chain of narrators, but it was not mentioned in Sahih Bukhari or Sahih Muslim.
[Machine] And where do the souls of Muslims gather? And where do the souls of polytheists gather? So Ka'b came to him and asked him, "As for the souls of Muslims, do they gather in suburbs, and as for the souls of polytheists, do they gather in Sana'a (a city in Yemen)? As for the first gathering, it is a fire that pushes people, they see it at night and do not see it during the day." So the Messenger of Ka'b returned to him and informed him of what he said, and he said, "This scholar has told the truth, so ask him."

[Machine] I entered upon the Prophet ﷺ on the day of Ashura and he said, "Are you fasting today, Asma?" I said, "No." He said, "Then fast." I said, "But I have already taken my meal, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "Fast the remaining hours and instruct your people to fast." Asma said, "So I took my sandals in my hand and tied my saddle until I returned to my people and said, 'The Prophet ﷺ has commanded you to fast.' They said, 'But we have already eaten.' I said, 'He has commanded you to fast for the rest of the day.'"
