[Machine] "Abu al-Haytham ibn al-Tayhan, whose name is Malik, witnessed the First and Second Aqabah pledges from the Ansar and then from the Banu Abd al-Ashhal. He was their ally and leader, and he participated in the Battle of Badr with no aftermath for him."

[Machine] "And Abu Al-Haytham ibn Al-Tayhan and As'ad ibn Zurarah said: We were among the first to embrace Islam from the Ansar in Makkah and among the first to meet the Messenger of Allah ﷺ before their people, and we arrived in Madinah because of that. Abu Al-Haytham witnessed Al-Aqabah along with the Muslims from the Ansar, and he was one of the twelve leaders, and there was no disagreement among them in that. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ fostered a brotherhood between Abu Al-Haytham ibn Al-Tayhan and Uthman ibn Mazh'un. Abu Al-Haytham also participated in the battles of Badr, Uhud, Al-Khandaq, and all other battles along with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."

[Machine] "Abu al-Haytham ibn al-Tayhaan passed away during the caliphate of Umar ibn al-Khattab in Madinah."

hakim:5251Ibrāhīm b. Ismāʿīl b. Abū Ḥabībah

[Machine] I heard the elderly people of the house, meaning the descendants of Banī 'Abd al-Ashhal, saying, "Abū al-Haytham ibn al-Tayhān passed away in the year twenty in Madinah."

hakim:5252Muḥammad b. Yazīd al-ʿAdl > Ibrāhīm b. Abū Ṭālib > Hilāl b. Bishr > Abū Khalaf ʿAbdullāh b. ʿĪsá > Yūnus b. ʿUbayd > ʿIkrimah > Ibn ʿAbbās

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ one day came out of his house during noon and saw Abu Bakr sitting in the mosque. He asked him, "What brought you out, O Abu Bakr, at this hour?" Abu Bakr replied, "The same thing that brought you out, O Messenger of Allah." Then Umar came and asked, "What brought you out, O Ibn Al-Khattab?" He replied, "The same thing that brought you both out, O Messenger of Allah." Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sat with them and talked to them. He then said, "Do you have the strength to go to this palm tree?" And he pointed with his hand towards the homes of the Ansar. He said, "You will find food, drink, and shade, if Allah wills." We said, "Yes." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ went and we went along with him. Al-Dhahabi did not mention this in his summary.
