[Machine] "O my sons, when I die, you should mourn and follow your fathers' footsteps, but do not mourn for your younger ones as it will cause harm to you. And do not wail for me, as I heard the Messenger of Allah forbidding wailing. You should focus on rectifying your wealth, as it is a means of honor for the noble and a means of sufficiency for the insolent. Do not give the rights of the camels to others and do not deny them their rights, and beware of any evil deeds because no matter how much happiness you experience, the greatest evil can overcome you. Beware of the children of your enemies, as they are your enemies on the same path as their fathers. When I die, bury me in a place where Bakr ibn Wael cannot see, as there were conflicts between us in the pre-Islamic era, and I fear that they will dig up my grave and cause corruption for themselves and harm your Hereafter. Then, he called his son Al-Abbas and said, 'Take out an arrow from my quiver.' He took it out and his father said, 'Break it,' so he broke it. Then he said, 'Take out two more arrows,' so he took them out and his father said, 'Break them,' so he broke them. But he could not break them. His father said, 'O my sons, this is how you are when you are united, and this is how you are when you are divided.' Then he recited:

"Indeed, the true glory is that which is built by a father who is steadfast and upright. Glory and bravery are sufficient for him when he has purity and abundance. O my sons, when you enter into treaties, be as strong as thirty in the hands of an archer; even if the arrows are severed, their unity remains. And the elders are more deserving if they are capable of leadership. And if some of you possess dominance, you should protect the younger ones until they reach the age of maturity, and their efforts should be combined."

- This is an excerpt from a longer speech by a father advising his sons before his death.

[Machine] I went to the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him. When he saw me, I heard him say, "This is the master of the virtuous people." When I reached him, I started talking to him and asked, "O Messenger of Allah, what kind of wealth is there that does not burden me with obligations from guests and a large family?" He said, "The best wealth is forty or more and woe to those who have a hundred, except those who give from their wealth for their messengers, struggle for it, support its poor, and feed the content and the hungry." I said, "O Prophet of Allah, what noble and excellent manners! O Prophet of Allah, may it not come upon the valley where I have a lot of camels." He asked, "What do you propose to do?" I said, "We will count the camels and count the people, and whoever wants can take one of the camels and go." He asked, "What will you do with those who have poor or weak camels?" I said, "I do not consider the young or the old male camels as poor or weak." He said, "Then what do you prefer, your own wealth or the wealth of your followers?" I said, "My own wealth is dearer to me than the wealth of my followers." He said, "If you have used your own wealth, spent it, or worn it, then you have done well. Otherwise, it is for your followers." I said, "By Allah, if I had stayed, I would have spent it all." Al-Hasan said, "And he did it, by Allah." When Qais was close to death, he advised his children, saying, "Beware of asking, as it is the last thing a person earns. If someone does not ask, he will leave his earnings."
