[Machine] "And for us, Abu Bakr was the best successor of Allah, and he was the most merciful to us and the most compassionate towards us."  

«وَلِينَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ فَكَانَ خَيْرَ خَلِيفَةِ اللَّهِ وَأَرْحَمَهُ بِنَا وَأَحْنَاهُ عَلَيْنَا»  

[Machine] We entered a room where Abu Bakr was, when he was afflicted with the pain that he passed away in. He looked at us and said, "Are you not pleased with what I am doing?" We replied, "Yes, O successor of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ .  

طُفْنَا بِغُرْفَةٍ فِيهَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ حِينَ أَصَابَهُ وَجَعُهُ الَّذِي قُبِضَ فِيهِ فَاطَّلَعَ عَلَيْنَا اطِّلَاعَةً فَقَالَ أَلَيْسَ تَرْضَوْنَ بِمَا أَصْنَعُ؟ قُلْنَا بَلَى يَا خَلِيفَةَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ  

[Machine] "Abu Bakr as-Siddiq, when he sent the troops towards Ash-Sham (Syria), Yazid ibn Abi Sufyan, Amr ibn al-Aas, and Shurahbil ibn Hasanah walked with them until they reached Thaniyyat al-Wada'. They said, 'O successor of the Messenger of Allah, you are walking while we are riding!'"  

أَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقَ لَمَّا بَعَثَ الْجُيُوشَ نَحْوَ الشَّامِ يَزِيدَ بْنَ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ وَعَمْرَو بْنَ الْعَاصِ وَشُرَحْبِيلَ بْنَ حَسَنَةَ مَشَى مَعَهُمْ حَتَّى بَلَغَ ثَنِيَّةَ الْوَدَاعِ فَقَالُوا يَا خَلِيفَةَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ تَمْشِي وَنَحْنُ رُكْبَانٌ  

[Machine] "I entered upon Abu Bakr during his caliphate."  

«دَخَلْتُ عَلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ فِي خِلَافَتِهِ»  

[Machine] "The wealth of Bahrain came to us during the caliphate of Abu Bakr."  

«جَاءَنَا مَالُ الْبَحْرَيْنِ فِي خِلَافَةِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ»  

[Machine] Uyaina bin Hisn and Al-Aqr bin Habib came to Abu Bakr and said, "O successor of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ." Al-Dhahabi remained silent about this in the summarization.  

جَاءَ عُيَيْنَةُ بْنُ حِصْنٍ وَالْأَقْرَعُ بْنُ حَابِسٍ إِلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ فَقَالُوا «يَا خَلِيفَةَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ» سكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص  

[Machine] "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and fought during the caliphate of Abu Bakr." This hadith was excluded by Al-Dhahabi due to its weakness in summarization.  

«رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَغَزَوْتُ فِي خِلَافَةِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ» حذفه الذهبي من التلخيص لضعفه  

[Machine] We were with Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq when he began to cry. So, we said, "O successor of the Messenger of Allah, why this crying?" Al-Dhahabi remained silent about it in his summary.  

كُنَّا مَعَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ فَبَكَى فَقُلْنَا يَا خَلِيفَةَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ مَا هَذَا الْبُكَاءُ؟ سكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص  

[Machine] "All the companions of the Prophet ﷺ agreed and appointed Abu Bakr as his successor, as mentioned by Al-Dhahabi in his summary of his weakness."
