[Machine] "As for the fact that I inform you of my name, my name was Qais, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ called me Safinah (ship). I asked him, 'Why did you name me Safinah?' He said, 'He (Qais) went out with his companions, and their belongings became heavy for them. He said, 'Spread out your cloak,' so I spread it out, and he put their belongings in it. Then he loaded it onto me and said, 'Carry it, for you are nothing but a ship.' He said, 'If I were to carry on that day a load of a camel or two camels, or five or six, it would not be heavier for me.' It is a sahih (authentic) narratio and they both reported it."  

أَمَا «إِنِّي مُخْبِرُكَ بِاسْمِي كَانَ اسْمِي قَيْسًا فَسَمَّانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ سَفِينَةَ» قُلْتُ لِمَ سَمَّاكَ سَفِينَةَ؟ قَالَ خَرَجَ وَمَعَهُ أَصْحَابُهُ فَثَقُلَ عَلَيْهِمْ مَتَاعُهُمْ فَقَالَ ابْسُطْ كِسَاءَكَ فَبَسَطْتُهُ فَجَعَلَ فِيهِ مَتَاعَهُمْ ثُمَّ حَمَلَهُ عَلَيَّ فَقَالَ احْمِلْ مَا أَنْتَ إِلَّا سَفِينَةُ فَقَالَ لَوْ حَمَلْتُ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَقْرَ بَعِيرٍ أَوْ بَعِيرَيْنِ أَوْ خَمْسَةٍ أَوْ سِتَّةٍ مَا ثَقُلَ عَلَيَّ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُصحيح  

[Machine] "To serve the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as long as I live." Al-Dhahabi remained silent about it in the summary.  

أَنْ أَخْدُمَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ مَا عَاشَ» سكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص  

[Machine] That the ship of the Master of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I rode the sea and my ship in which I was broke. So I rode a plank from its planks, so the plank threw me into a place where lions were. So the lion came towards me wanting me, so I said, 'O Abu al-Harith, I am the slave of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ .' So he lowered his head and came towards me and pushed me with his shoulder until he took me out of the place where the lions were and put me on the road. And he made sounds, so I thought that he was bidding me farewell, so that was my last covenant with him."  

أَنَّ سَفِينَةَ مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ رَكِبْتُ الْبَحْرَ فَانْكَسَرَتْ سَفِينَتِي الَّتِي كُنْتُ فِيهَا فَرَكِبْتُ لَوْحًا مِنْ أَلْوَاحِهَا فَطَرَحَنِي اللَّوْحُ فِي أَجَمَةٍ فِيهَا الْأَسَدُ فَأَقْبَلَ إِلَيَّ يُرِيدُنِي فَقُلْتُ يَا أَبَا الْحَارِثِ أَنَا مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَطَأْطَأَ رَأْسَهُ وَأَقْبَلَ إِلَيَّ فَدَفَعَنِي بِمَنْكِبِهِ حَتَّى أَخْرَجَنِي مِنَ الْأَجَمَةِ وَوَضَعَنِي عَلَى الطَّرِيقِ وَهَمْهَمَ فَظَنَنْتُ أَنَّهُ يُوَدِّعُنِي فَكَانَ ذَلِكَ آخِرَ عَهْدِي بِهِ
