27.131 [Machine] The mention of the merits of Muhammad ibn Talha ibn Ubaidullah al-Sajjad.
٢٧۔١٣١ ذِكْرُ مَنَاقِبِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ السَّجَّادِ ؓ
[Machine] Muhammad ibn Talhah was one of the ascetic individuals who exerted great effort in worship. The companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would seek his blessings and supplications. He was the first person to be given the title of "As-Sajjad" (the one who frequently prostrates). Abu Abdullah Al-Asbahani narrated this information, testifying to its authenticity, as I mentioned before.
كَانَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ مِنَ الزُّهَّادِ الْمُجْتَهِدِينَ فِي الْعِبَادَةِ، وَكَانَ أَصْحَابُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَتَبَرَّكُونَ بِهِ وَبِدُعَائِهِ، وَهُوَ أَوَّلُ مَنْ لُقِّبَ بِالسَّجَّادِ، حَدَّثَنَا بِصِحَّةِ ذَلِكَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ كَمَا قَدَّمْتُ ذِكْرَهُ
