[Machine] "Nu'fal ibn al-Harith ibn Abd al-Muttalib passed away, and he was also known as Abu al-Harith. This was two years after the caliphate of Umar ibn al-Khattab in Medina."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said to him, "Sacrifice yourself, O Nawfal." He said, "I have nothing to sacrifice, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "Sacrifice yourself with your spear that you use in battle." He said, "By Allah, no one knows that I have a spear to sacrifice except Allah. I bear witness that you are the Messenger of Allah." So he sacrificed himself with it, and it was worth one thousand spears. The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, made a pact of brotherhood between Nawfal and Al-Abbas bin Abdul Muttalib, who were previously partners in ignorance, dealing with wealth, and loving each other. Nawfal witnessed with the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, the conquest of Makkah, Hunayn, and Taif, and he remained steadfast with the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, during the Battle of Hunayn. The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said, "It is as if I see your spear penetrating the chests of the polytheists."

[Machine] It is mentioned that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sought assistance in getting married, so he got him married to a woman. He then sought something but could not find it, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent Abu Rafi' and Abu Ayyub with his armor and they pawned it with a Jewish man for thirty sa'a of barley. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then gave it to me, and we ate from it for half a year. Then we consumed it, and we found it the same as when we first received it. Nufal mentioned this to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and he said, "If you did not trust him, you would have eaten from it as long as you lived." As for Rabi'ah ibn al-Harith and 'Ubaidah ibn al-Harith, they were killed in front of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during the Battle of Badr.

[Machine] "In the Battle of Badr, there were three hundred and thirteen men from the Quraysh and the Ansar who accompanied the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . Among them were from the Bani Abdul Muttalib Ibn Abd Manaf, Ubaydah, At-Tufayl, and Husayn, the sons of Harith Ibn Abdul Muttalib. There was a disagreement regarding Rabiah Ibn Al-Harith, as some said that he lived after that and witnessed the days of Umar Ibn Al-Khattab. He also narrated from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . Az-Zahabi remained silent about him in his summary."

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ received news that a group of people had criticized him and said to him, "The example of Muhammad is like that of a palm tree growing in a garbage heap." This angered the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , so he said, "O people, indeed Allah created His creation and divided them into two groups, and He made me part of the best of the two groups. Then He divided them into tribes, and He made me part of the best of the tribes. Then He made them into households, and He made me part of the best of the households." Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I am the best among you in lineage and the best among you in household." At this point, Al-Dhahabi remained silent in his summary.

[Machine] About Hisham ibn Al-Kalbi's narration that the Prophet ﷺ said, "The first blood I shed in Islam is the blood of Rabi'ah ibn Al-Harith, who was being fostered by Bani Layth, and Hudhayl killed him." Hisham said, "Rabi'ah was not killed, as he lived after the Prophet's ﷺ time until the caliphate of Umar. The one that Hudhayl killed was someone else." Al-Dhahabi excluded this narration from his summarization due to its weakness.
