[Machine] Umar ibn Al-Khattab was entrusted with the caliphate for a year and three months. Umar then led the funeral prayer for him and walked with him to Al-Baqi Cemetery where he was buried there."  

الحاكم:٥٠٧٢حَدَّثَنَا بِذَلِكَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنُ بَطَّةَ بِإِسْنَادِهِ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الْجَهْمِ ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ قَالَ فَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ عَنْ شُيُوخِهِ قَالَ «تُوُفِّيَ نَوْفَلُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ بَعْدَ

أَنِ اسْتُخْلِفَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ بِسَنَةٍ وَثَلَاثَةِ أَشْهُرٍ فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ عُمَرُ ثُمَّ مَشَى مَعَهُ إِلَى الْبَقِيعِ حَتَّى دُفِنَ هُنَالِكَ»
