[Machine] "So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ heard about them and went to meet them. He sat with them and said, 'Do you have anything better than what I have come to invite you to?' They asked, 'What is it?' He said, 'I am the Messenger of Allah, sent by Allah to call people to worship Him alone without associating anything with Him, and to reveal the Book to me.' Then he mentioned Islam to them and recited the Quran to them. Iyas ibn Mu'adh, who was then a young boy, asked, 'Who are these people?' By Allah, they are better than what you have come with.' Abu Al-Haysar took a handful of dirt and hit Iyas ibn Mu'adh in the face and said, 'Leave us alone, for by my life, we did not come for this.' So Iyas fell silent and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ got up and they went back to Al-Madinah. This incident took place near the Bua'th between the Aws and Khazraj tribes. Iyas ibn Mu'adh did not survive for long after that." Mahmud ibn Labid said, "Someone who was present with him at the time of his death informed me that they kept hearing him saying 'Allahu Akbar' (Allah is the Greatest), praising and glorifying Allah until he died. They did not doubt that he died as a Muslim. He had truly embraced Islam in that gathering when he heard what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said."
