[Machine] About 'Urwah, in the naming of the one who witnessed Al-'Aqabah from the Ansar of Banu Sa'dah ibn Ka'b ibn Al-Khazraj, Sa'd ibn 'Ubadah ibn Dulaim ibn Harithah ibn 'Ubaydah ibn Huzaymah, who was a Naqib (delegation leader) and participated in the Battle of Badr, Adh-Dhahabi excluded him due to his weakness in his summarization.  

عَنْ عُرْوَةَ «فِي تَسْمِيَةِ مَنْ شَهِدَ الْعَقَبَةَ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ مِنْ بَنِي سَاعِدَةَ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ الْخَزْرَجِ سَعْدُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ دُلَيْمِ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ بْنِ حُزَيْمَةَ وَهُوَ نَقِيبٌ وَقَدْ شَهِدَ بَدْرًا» حذفه الذهبي من التلخيص لضعفه  

[Machine] Regarding Uruwah, in naming those who witnessed the Battle of Uhud, among the Banu Sa'ida bin Ka'b bin Al-Khazraj, Sa'd bin 'Ubadah (may Allah be pleased with him) carried the flag of the Ansar with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the Day of Badr and other occasions. This was omitted by Al-Dhahabi due to its weakness in the summarization.  

عَنْ عُرْوَةَ «فِي تَسْمِيَةِ مَنْ شَهِدَ الْعَقَبَةَ وَمِنْ بَنِي سَاعِدَةَ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ الْخَزْرَجِ سَعْدُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ كَانَ حَامِلَ رَايَةِ الْأَنْصَارِ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ وَغَيْرِهِ» حذفه الذهبي من التلخيص لضعفه  

[Machine] "That Saad ibn Ubadah ibn Duleim ibn Harithah ibn Al-Nu'man ibn Umm Huzaymah ibn Tha'labah ibn Tareef ibn Al-Khazraj ibn Sa'idah ibn Ka'b ibn Al-Khazraj." Al-Dhahabi removed it from his summary due to its weakness.  

«أَنَّ سَعْدَ بْنَ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ دُلَيْمِ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ بْنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ أَبِي حُزَيْمَةَ بْنِ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ طَرِيفِ بْنِ الْخَزْرَجِ بْنِ سَاعِدَةَ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ الْخَزْرَجِ» حذفه الذهبي من التلخيص لضعفه  

[Machine] Sad ibn Ubada passed away, and he was also known as Abu Thabit from Hauran in the land of Sham (Syria) for two and a half years during the caliphate of Umar, and this was during the last fifteen years.  

«تُوُفِّيَ سَعْدُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ وَكَانَ يُكَنَّى أَبَا ثَابِتٍ بِحُورَانَ مِنْ أَرْضِ الشَّامِ لِسَنَتَيْنِ وَنِصْفٍ مِنْ خِلَافَةِ عُمَرَ وَذَلِكَ آخِرَ خَمْسَ عَشْرَةَ»  

[Machine] I heard Yahya bin Abdullah bin Bukair saying, "Saad bin Ubada died in Huran in the year sixteen."  

سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنَ بُكَيْرٍ يَقُولُ «تُوُفِّيَ سَعْدُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ بِحُورَانَ سَنَةَ سِتَّ عَشْرَةَ»  

[Machine] To me, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Send to me twelve commanders." So, we sent to him Sa'd bin Ubada bin Dulaim bin Haritha bin Huzaima bin Tha'laba bin Tariif bin al-Khazraj bin Sa'da, who was a commander of the Banu Sa'dah. Al-Dhahabi excluded him from summarizing his weakness.  

لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «أَخْرِجُوا إِلَيَّ اثْنَيْ عَشَرَ نَقِيبًا» فَأَخْرَجْنَا لَهُ سَعْدَ بْنَ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ دُلَيْمِ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ بْنِ حُزَيْمَةَ بْنِ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ طَرِيفِ بْنِ الْخَزْرَجِ بْنِ سَاعِدَةَ وَكَانَ نَقِيبٌ بَنِي سَاعِدَةَحذفه الذهبي من التلخيص لضعفه  

[Machine] The Quraysh heard someone saying at night about Abu Qubays, "If Sa'dan (referring to two individuals) accepts Islam, Muhammad will be safe in Mecca and will not fear any opposing adversary." Quraysh thought that those two Sa'dans referred to were Sa'd ibn Mu'adh and Sa'd ibn 'Ubadah. When it was the second night, they heard him saying, "O Sa'd! O Sa'd of Aws! Be a supporter and O Sa'd! O Sa'd of Khazraj Al-Ghatarif! Respond to the caller of guidance and make dua to Allah for the paradise of the knowledgeable one in Firdaus. Indeed, the reward of Allah for the seeker of guidance is gardens of Firdaus with branches. When they woke up in the morning, Sufyan said, "I swear by Allah, it was Sa'd ibn Mu'adh and Sa'd ibn 'Ubadah." This was removed by Al-Dhahabi due to its weakness in the summarization.  

سَمِعَتْ قُرَيْشٌ قَائِلًا يَقُولُ فِي اللَّيْلِ عَلَى أَبِي قُبَيْسٍ [البحر الطويل] فَإِنْ يُسْلِمِ السَّعْدَانِ يُصْبِحْ مُحَمَّدٌ بِمَكَّةَ لَا يَخْشَى خِلَافَ مُخَالِفٍ فَظَنَّتْ قُرَيْشٌ أَنَّهُمَا سَعْدُ تَمِيمٍ وَسَعْدُ هُذَيْمٍ فَلَمَّا كَانَتْ فِي اللَّيْلَةِ الثَّانِيَةِ سَمِعُوهُ يَقُولُ أَيَا سَعْدُ سَعْدَ الْأَوْسِ كُنْ أَنْتَ نَاصِرًا وَيَا سَعْدُ سَعْدُ الْخَزْرَجِيِّينَ الْغَطَارِفِ أَجِيبَا إِلَى دَاعِي الْهُدَى وَتَمَنَّيَا عَلَى اللَّهِ فِي الْفِرْدَوْسِ مُنْيَةَ عَارِفِ فَإِنَّ ثَوَابَ اللَّهِ لِلطَّالِبِ الْهُدَى جِنَانٌ مِنَ الْفِرْدَوْسِ ذَاتُ رَفَارِفِ فَلَمَّا أَصْبَحُوا قَالَ سُفْيَانُ هُوَ وَاللَّهِ سَعْدُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ وَسَعْدُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَحذفه الذهبي من التلخيص لضعفه  

[Machine] The jinn [the fast sea] said, "We killed Saad bin Ubada, the leader of the Khazraj, and we struck him with two arrows, but it did not affect his heart."  

فَقَالَتِ الْجِنُّ [البحر السريع] نَحْنُ قَتَلْنَا سَيِّدَ الْخَزْرَجِ سَعْدَ بْنَ عُبَادَةْ وَرَمَيْنَاهُ بِسَهْمَيْنِ فَلَمْ تُخْطِ فُؤَادَهْحذفه الذهبي من التلخيص لضعفه  

[Machine] "I find something in my back, but it didn't take long for it to die, and the jinn wailed, saying, '[The Fast Camel]: We killed the leader of the Khazraj, Saad ibn Ubada, and we threw him with two arrows, but it did not pierce his heart." (Note: The last part of the sentence seems to be incorrect and is unclear, possibly due to a typing error or incomplete translation.)  

إِنِّي لَأَجِدُ فِي ظَهْرِي شَيْئًا فَلَمْ يَلْبَثْ أَنْ مَاتَ فَنَاحَتِ الْجِنُّ فَقَالُوا [البحر السريع] نَحْنُ قَتَلْنَا سَيِّدَ الْخَزْرَجِ سَعْدَ بْنَ عُبَادَةْ وَرَمَيْنَاهُ بِسَهْمَيْنِ فَلَمْ تُخْطِ فُؤَادَهْحذفه الذهبي من التلخيص لضعفه  

[Machine] That when Abu Sufyan approached the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , Abu Bakr spoke to him, but he turned away from him. Then Umar spoke to him, but he turned away from him as well. Sa'd bin 'Ubadah said, "O Messenger of Allah, I swear by the One in whose hand is my soul, if you command us to enter the sea, we will enter it and if you command us to strike the mountains, we will do so." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ requested the people, and they set out until they reached Badr. This narration is authentic according to the conditions of Imam Muslim, but he did not include it in his collection. Al-Dhahabi omitted mentioning it in his summary.  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ حِينَ بَلَغَهُ إِقْبَالُ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ فَتَكَلَّمَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ فَأَعْرَضَ عَنْهُ ثُمَّ تَكَلَّمَ عُمَرُ فَأَعْرَضَ عَنْهُ فَقَالَ سَعْدُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَوْ أَمَرْتَنَا أَنْ نَخُوضَ الْبَحْرَ لَخُضْنَاهُ وَلَوْ أَمَرْتَنَا أَنْ نَضْرِبَ أَكْبَادَهَا إِلَى بَرْكِ الْغِمَادِ لَفَعَلْنَا «فَنَدَبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ النَّاسَ» فَانْطَلَقُوا حَتَّى نَزَلُوا بَدْرًا «صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ مُسْلِمٍ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ» سكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص  

[Machine] Sa'd ibn 'Ubadah used to say, "O Allah, grant me honor and glory, for there is no glory except through actions, and there are no actions except through wealth. O Allah, being insignificant does not benefit me, and I do not benefit others even if I were to call out upon deaf ears. Whoever desires fat and meat, let him come to Sa'd." (This narration was excluded by Al-Dhahabi from the summary due to its weakness.)  

كَانَ سَعْدُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ يَقُولُ اللَّهُمَّ هَبْ لِي مَجْدًا وَلَا مَجْدَ إِلَّا بِفِعَالٍ وَلَا فَعَالَ إِلَّا بِمَالٍ اللَّهُمَّ لَا يُصْلِحُنِي الْقَلِيلُ وَلَا أَصْلُحُ عَلَيْهِ وَلَوْ كَانَ مُنَادِيًا يُنَادِي عَلَى أَطَمَةٍ مَنْ كَانَ يُرِيدُ الشَّحْمَ وَاللَّحْمَ فَلْيَأْتِ سَعْدًا حذفه الذهبي من التلخيص لضعفه  

[Machine] "The polytheists took Saad bin Ubada and tied his hands to his neck, then they entered him into Mecca, hitting him and dragging him by his beard. He was a man with a long, thick beard." His deletion was mentioned by Al-Dhahabi in the summary due to his weakness.  

«أَخَذَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ سَعْدَ بْنَ عُبَادَةَ فَرَبَطُوا يَدَهُ إِلَى عُنُقِهِ وَأَدْخَلُوهُ مَكَّةَ يَضْرِبُونَهُ وَيَجُرُّونَهُ بِنَاصِيَتِهِ وَكَانَ ذَا جُمَّةٍ طَوِيلَةٍ» حذفه الذهبي من التلخيص لضعفه  

[Machine] I asked the Prophet ﷺ, and he commanded me to fulfill it for her. It is agreed upon by the two sheikhs that this hadith should be excluded. Um Saad ibn Ubada passed away and they did not reach out to him regarding it, and this is considered authentic according to their condition.  

فَسَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ «فَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ أَقْضِيَهُ عَنْهَا» قَدِ اتَّفَقَ الشَّيْخَانِ عَلَى إِخْرَاجِ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ أَنَّ أُمَّ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ تُوُفِّيَتْ وَلَمْ يَصِلَاهُ عَنْهُ وَهَذَا صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِهِمَا المدايني ضعيف
