[Machine] When the war prepared for battle, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , Talhah, and Simak ibn Kharashah (Abu Dujanah) remained silent and did not speak. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said, "I saw myself on the day of Uhud, and there was no creature on the earth closer to me than Jibril on my right and Talhah on my left." It was mentioned in a poem about that incident (Bahr Al-Taweel). On the day of Shu'ayb, Talhah felt sorrow for Muhammad during a difficult hour when things were tight for him. He protected him with his hands against spears, and his fingers were cut by the blades, but he did not fail. Talhah was the leader of the people after Muhammad, and he upheld the principles of Islam until they were firmly established.
