[Machine] "Abu al-Haytham ibn al-Tayhan, whose name is Malik, witnessed the First and Second Aqabah pledges from the Ansar and then from the Banu Abd al-Ashhal. He was their ally and leader, and he participated in the Battle of Badr with no aftermath for him."  

الحاكم:٥٢٤٨أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الْحَسَنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ النَّسَوِيِّ بِمَرْوَ ثنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ ثنا عَمَّارُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ ثنا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ

«وَشَهِدَ الْعَقَبَةَ الْأُولَى وَالثَّانِيَةَ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ ثُمَّ مِنْ بَنِي عَبْدِ الْأَشْهَلِ أَبُو الْهَيْثَمِ بْنُ التَّيْهَانِ وَاسْمُهُ مَالِكٌ حَلِيفٌ لَهُمْ وَهُوَ نَقِيبٌ شَهِدَ بَدْرًا وَلَا عَقِبَ لَهُ»

[Machine] About Urwa:'Regarding the identification of those who witnessed the event of Al-Aqaba from the Ansar, then from the Aws from the Banu Abd al-Ashhal, Abu al-Haytham ibn al-Tayhan was among them. He was a leader and had participated in the Battle of Badr. He was the first person to pledge allegiance to Islam during the event of Al-Aqaba.'

عَنْ عُرْوَةَ «فِي تَسْمِيَةِ مَنْ شَهِدَ الْعَقَبَةَ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ ثُمَّ مِنَ الْأَوْسِ مِنْ بَنِي عَبْدِ الْأَشْهَلِ أَبُو الْهَيْثَمِ بْنُ التَّيْهَانِ وَهُوَ نَقِيبٌ وَقَدْ شَهِدَ بَدْرًا وَهُوَ أَوَّلُ مَنْ بَايَعَ عَلَى الْإِسْلَامِ فِي الْعَقَبَةِ»
