[Machine] If you are forced to ride the camel, do so in a gentle manner. If you are forced to milk the camel, drink it after straining its first milk. And if you slaughter it, slaughter its kind with it.
12.345 [Machine] The Slaughter of Camels in an Unreasonable or Reasonable Manner
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed Zuhr in Medina four Rak'ahs and we prayed with him. Then he prayed Asr in Dhu'l-Hulayfah two Rak'ahs. He stayed there and when the morning came, he rode his mount until he reached the open desert. He then said the Takbir, Tasbih, and Tahlil. He performed Umrah and Hajj. Then he informed the people about their Hajj and they also performed Umrah. Then they performed Hajj on the day of Tarwiyah. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ slaughtered seven camels with his own hand, and in Medina, he slaughtered two salty paired rams.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The best of days in the sight of Allah is the Day of Sacrifice, and then the Day of Al-Qarr (the day following Eid al-Adha), on which the people settle down and it is the day that follows the Day of Sacrifice. On that day, I advanced towards the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with five or six camels as a gift. We set out, and as we approached, they inclined towards him by means of their marks. He began saying some words surreptitiously that I did not understand. So I said to the one beside me, 'What did he say?' He replied, 'He said, "Whoever wishes, can take it."'"
[Machine] Send it standing up, bound by the tradition of your Prophet ﷺ .
[Machine] I saw Ibn Umar slaughter his camel while it was standing, with one of his hands holding a sword.
[Machine] He used to recite this letter (So remember the name of Allah upon it) saying: the name of Allah and Allah is the greatest. O Allah, it is from You and for You. He was asked about its skin, and he said: It can be given as charity or used for personal benefit.
[Machine] "Reasonably, whoever read it (Sawaffa) would describe it in front of him."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ and his companions used to slaughter the animal with the right foot lifted, based on what remained of its hooves. This is mentioned in the hadith of Ibn Jurayj from Abu Zubair from Jabir, which is connected, and in his hadith from Abdul Rahman ibn Sabbit, which is transmitted.
I was present with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at the Farewell Pilgrimage. When the sacrificial camels were brought to him, he said: Call AbulHasan (Ali) to me. Ali was then called for and he (the Prophet) said to him: Catch hold of the lower end of the lance, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ himself caught hold of the upper end. He then pierced the camels with it. When he finished slaughtering, he rode on his mule and mounted Ali behind him. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1766)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ slaughtered two salted rams, with big horns, then I saw him placing his foot on their sides, pronouncing the name of Allah and glorifying Him, and then he slaughtered them with his own hand.
[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ told Aisha to slaughter a cow on the day of sacrifice."

12.346 [Machine] What is recommended when slaughtering the animal for Naseeka, his own Naseeka by his own hand, and the permissibility of seeking assistance in it, and then his presence in the slaughter, for the expected forgiveness at the onset of bloodshed.
[Machine] Narrated by Jabir ibn Abdullah regarding the description of the Prophet's ﷺ pilgrimage. On the day of Sacrifice, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sacrificed sixty-three camels, and Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) also sacrificed alongside him. Then, one hundred bodies were taken from each camel and all of them were cooked. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ and Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) ate from the meat and drank from the broth.
[Machine] When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ slaughtered his sacrificial animal, he slaughtered two-thirds of it with his own hand and commanded me to slaughter the rest. The Sheikh said so.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O Fatimah, get up and bear witness to your sacrifice, for with the first drop of its blood, every sin that you committed will be forgiven. Say, 'Indeed, my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the worlds. There is no partner with Him, and I have been commanded to be of the Muslims.'" [Surah Al-An'am 163] It was said, "O Messenger of Allah, is this for you and your household specifically, or for all Muslims in general?" He said, "Rather, it is for all Muslims in general." This wording of the hadith of Ibn 'Abdan was not written except from this angle, and it is not strong. It is narrated from 'Amr ibn Khalid with his chain of narrators from 'Ali and 'Amr ibn Khalid is abandoned. It is also narrated from 'Ali ibn Abi Talib that he said, "The Jews and Christians should not sacrifice their animals for the Muslim Festival of Sacrifice." It is also narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that he disliked the Jews and Christians sacrificing their animals for the Muslim Festival of Sacrifice, and we dislike them doing what they dislike. And if they do it, there is no restitution upon the one who does it, based on the saying of Allah, "The food of the People of the Scripture is lawful for you, and your food is lawful for them" [Surah Al-Ma'idah 5]. This means that Allah knows best about their sacrifices, and we mention it in its entirety, if Allah wills, in the book of sacrifices.

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "All the days of Tashriq are days of slaughtering, but the first day is obligatory, and this narration is not strong because its narrator is Suwaid."

Jabir reported the Prophet ﷺ as saying “I halted here in ‘Arafah and the whole of ‘Arafah is a place of halting. I halted here in Al Muzdalifah and the whole of Al Muzdalifah is a place of halting. I sacrificed the animals here and the whole of Mina is a place of sacrifice. So sacrifice in your dwellings. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1936)

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Everywhere in Arafah is a standing place, and everywhere in Muzdalifah is a standing place, and all of Mina is a place for sacrifice, and every rocky tract in Makkah is a road and a place for sacrifice." Ya'qub bin Zaid said, "Uthman bin Zaid is trusted and dependable among the people of his city, Al Madinah."

[Machine] Narrated Jaber in the description of the Prophet's Hajj (pilgrimage), he said: "Then he went to the place of sacrifice and slaughtered sixty-three camels, and he gave Ali a camel to sacrifice and included him in his offering. Then he commanded that a portion of each camel be placed in a pot and cooked. They both ate from its meat and drank from its broth. Then he returned to the house."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sacrificed one hundred animals during Hajj, of which he himself slaughtered sixty. He commanded that the remaining animals be sacrificed, and a portion was taken from each animal and collected in a pot. He ate from it and drank from its broth. It was asked to Muhammad, "Did he eat from all of it?" Muhammad said, "Yes."

The Prophet ﷺ said: The greatest day in Allah's sight is the day of sacrifice and next the day of resting which Isa said on the authority of Thawr is the second day. Five or six sacrificial camels were brought to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and they began to draw near to see which he would sacrifice first. When they fell down dead, he said something in a low voice, which I could not catch. So I asked: What did he say? He was told that he had said: Anyone who wants can cut off a piece. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1765)

[Machine] That he should not eat from it, as mentioned in the verse {So eat from it} [Al-Hajj 28]. This is similar to his saying {And when you have purified yourselves, then hunt} [Al-Ma'idah 2]. So whoever wants can hunt.

[Machine] He informed him that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered him to distribute all of his body's meat, skin, and bones to the poor, and not to give anything from it in his butcher shop.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ instructed me to take care of his sacrificial animals and to give their meat, skins and blankets in charity, and not to give the butcher anything from them. He said: ʿWe will give him something ourselves.ʿ It was narrated that ‘Ali ؓ said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ instructed me... a similar report, except that he did not say, ʿWe will give him something ourselves.” (Using translation from Aḥmad 1325)

[Machine] Umar ibn al-Khattab presented a gift, and he was given three hundred dinars in return. He then went to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I presented a gift and was given three hundred dinars in return. Should I sell it and buy a Buda?" or he said "badana" or he said "badanah." The Prophet replied, "No, but instead sacrifice it to Allah." Abu Dawud, Abu Abdur-Rahim, Khalid ibn Yazid, the nephew of Muhammad ibn Salamah, narrated from him.
12.353 [Machine] He does not eat from every sacrifice that its origin is obligatory for him, such as the compensation for harm, corruption, hunting, vows, pleasure, recitation of the Quran, and others. We have narrated in the past from Ata, from Ibn Abbas, that he said: 'There is a sheep in the form of a dove that is not eaten, but given in charity.' And we have narrated from him regarding the person who has intercourse with his wife before Tawaf: 'Slaughter a fat camel and feed the poor.' And we have narrated from Tawus and Saeed bin Jubair that they said: 'He does not eat from the hunting compensation, nor from the compensation for harm.'
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to me on the occasion of Hudaibiya and I was kindling fire under my cooking pot and lice were creeping on my face. Thereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: Do the vermins harm your head? I said: Yes. He said: Get your head shaved and (in lieu of it) observe fasts for three days or feed six needy persons, or offer sacrifice (of an animal). Ayyub said: I do not know with what (type of expiation) did he commence (the statement). (Using translation from Muslim 1201a)

“I heard ‘Ubaid bin Fairuz say: ‘I said to Bara’ bin ‘Azib: “Tell us of the sacrificial animals that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ disliked or forbade.” He said: “Allah’s Messenger ﷺ said like this with his hand. And my hand is shorter than his hand:* ‘There are four that will not be accepted as sacrifices: The one-eyed animal that is obviously blind in one eye; the sick animal that is obviously sick; the lame animal with an obvious limp; and the animal that is so emaciated that it is as if there is no marrow in its bones.’” He said:** “And I dislike that the animal should have some fault in its ears.” He said: “What you dislike, forget about it and do not make it forbidden to anyone.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3144)

12.355 [Machine] The guidance that originates from voluntary acts when it encounters obstacles and surpasses them to fulfill its goal and achieves success.
[Machine] Sinan set off with his body, which he drove, and it crawled on the road. He wondered about it, if it was created, how could he bring it? So he said, "If I arrive, I will ask about it." He said, "So I woke up, and when we came down to the Bat’ha, he said, 'Go to Ibn Abbas and talk to him.'" He mentioned to him the matter of his body. So he said, "Upon the most knowledgeable, you fell. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent sixteen bodies with a man and a woman in it." He said, "Then he left and came back and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, what should I do with what was created for me from it?' He said, 'Sacrifice it, then dye your sandals with its blood and put it on its surface so that neither you nor anyone from your companions will eat from it.'"
[Machine] He informed him that the Prophet ﷺ sent him with two sacrificial animals and ordered him that if any defect appeared in them, to sacrifice them and then dip their sandals in their blood, and then strike each of them on its surface, then he should dismiss them and the people and not give any instructions or eat from them, neither he nor any of his companions.
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ sent a companion with camels and commanded him that if any of them become sick, he should sacrifice it, dip its shoe in its blood, strike its cheek with it, and prohibit himself and his companions from eating from it, and to distribute it among the people.
[Machine] He said, "O Messenger of Allah, what should I do with the defective gift?" So he ordered him to slaughter it and to discard its shoes in its blood, and to separate it between him and the people so that they may eat it.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent sacrificial camels with him (as offering to the Ka'bah). He then said: If any one of them becomes fatigued, slaughter it, dip its shoes in its blood, and leave it for the people (to eat). (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1762)
[Machine] He said, "Whoever drives a camel as a volunteer and it becomes injured, then he slaughters it and leaves it between him and the people who eat from it, then he is not liable for anything. But if he eats from it or orders its consumption, he is responsible for its compensation." 10255 He said, "And Malik narrated to us from Thawr ibn Zaid ad-Dili from Abdullah ibn Abbas similar to that."
12.356 [Machine] What should be done with gifts if they become faulty or lost
This hadith has been reported on the authority of Ibn 'Umar through another chain of transmitters. (Using translation from Muslim 1501b)
[Machine] Abu Abdullah Al-Hafiz and Abu Abdur-Rahman Al-Sulami informed us, they said: Abu Al-Abbas Muhammad ibn Ya'qub narrated to us, he said: Al-Abbas ibn Muhammad Al-Dawri narrated to us, he said: Al-Hassan ibn Bishr narrated to us, he said: Al-Mu'afa ibn Imran narrated from Al-Awzai, from Ayoub ibn Musa, from Ibn Umar, who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever presents a voluntary gift, but it becomes defective, then there is no compensation for him. But if it was a vow, then he must fulfill it." This is narrated in this chain of narration from Al-Awzai, and I think it is a fabrication, for it is only.
[Machine] From the Messenger of Allah ﷺ who said, "Whoever performs voluntary prayers and then becomes lost (confused), he may choose (to continue) or he may leave them. And if it (the confusion) is due to a vow, then he should fulfill it (by continuing the prayers). Al-Qarqasani narrated it from Al-Awza'i, and it contradicted the consensus in its wording."
[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet, ﷺ , who said, "Whoever gives a voluntary gift and then withdraws it, he may eat it if he wishes, or leave it if he wishes. But if he made a vow, then he should replace it." This narration is reported by the majority, from Al-Awzaa'i, then the correct narration is from Malik, from Nafi', and Allah knows best. It has also been narrated in the first wording from Ibn Abi Zinad, from Musa bin Uqbah, from Abu Zubair, from Ibn Umar, as a Mawqoof (stopped) narration, except that its chain of narration is weak. We were informed by Abu Bakr bin Al-Harith, that I, Ali bin Umar, narrated to Qadi Al-Muhamili, who narrated to Abdullah bin Shabeeb, who narrated to Abd al-Jabbar bin Sa'id, who narrated from Ibn Abi Zinad, in which he mentioned when it goes astray...
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever guides a sacrificial animal voluntarily and it becomes defective, he should not eat from it. If he eats from it, he has to give its value in compensation. Rather, he should slaughter it, then dip its hoof in its blood, and then strike its side with it. But if it is a mandatory sacrifice, then he may eat from it if he wishes, as its sacrifice must be fulfilled." Abu Bakr ibn Khuzaimah said, "This hadith is transmitted between Abi Al-Khaleel and Abi Qatadah."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Indeed, traveling to three mosques is only permissible: the Masjid al-Haram, my mosque (in Medina), and the Masjid al-Aqsa. And prayer in my mosque is more beloved to me than a thousand prayers in any other mosque except Masjid al-Haram."
