[Machine] He heard Al-Miswar Ibn Makhrama and Marwan Ibn Al-Hakam narrating from the news of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the Battle of Al-Hudaybiyah. And in what Awrah narrated to me about them, they said, "When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wrote to Suheil Ibn 'Amr on the day of Al-Hudaybiyah regarding the treaty, Suheil Ibn 'Amr said to him, 'No one from us will come to you, even if he is a Muslim, except that you send him back to us and leave him between us and him.' So Suheil refused to bring the case before the Messenger of Allah ﷺ except on that condition." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ returned Abu Jandal Ibn Suheil to his father Suheil Ibn 'Amr on that day, and no man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ except that he sent him back during that period, even if he was a Muslim. The believing women who migrated came, and Um Kulthum bint 'Uqba Ibn Abi Mu'ayt was among them. Then her family came asking the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to return her to them until Allah revealed what He revealed regarding the believing women.

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , divided Khaibar into eighty portions. The number of men was one thousand and eight hundred, and there were two hundred horses. There were four hundred arrows for the horses, with each arrow equal to eighteen hundred arrows. Each hundred arrows had a leader, with Umar ibn Al-Khattab, Ali, Talhah, Zubair, and Aasim ibn Adi serving as leaders. The arrow of the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , was with Aasim ibn Adi.

The people say that you never feel angry on account of your daughters and now 'Ali is going to marry the daughter of Abu Jahl. Makhramah said: Thereupon Messenger of Allah ﷺ rose up and I heard him reciting Tashahhud and say: Now to the point. I gave a daughter of mine (Zainab) to Abu'l-'As b. Rabi, and he spoke to me and spoke the truth. Verily Fatima, the daughter of Muhammad, is a part of me and I do not approve that she may be put to any trial and by Allah, the daughter of Messenger of Allah cannot be combined with the daughter of God's enemy (as the co-wives) of one person. Thereupon 'Ali gave up (the idea of his intended) marriage. (Using translation from Muslim 2449d)

That when they reached Medina after returning from Yazid bin Mu'awaiya after the martyrdom of Husain bin ʿAli (may Allah bestow His Mercy upon him), Al-Miswar bin Makhrama met him and said to him, "Do you have any need you may order me to satisfy?" ʿAli said, "No." Al-Miswar said, Will you give me the sword of Messenger of Allah ﷺ for I am afraid that people may take it from you by force? By Allah, if you give it to me, they will never be able to take it till I die." When ʿAli bin Abu Talib demanded the hand of the daughter of Abi Jahal to be his wife besides Fatima, I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ on his pulpit delivering a sermon in this connection before the people, and I had then attained my age of puberty. Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Fatima is from me, and I am afraid she will be subjected to trials in her religion (because of jealousy)." The Prophet ﷺ then mentioned one of his son-in-law who was from the tribe of 'Abu Shams, and he praised him as a good son-in-law, saying, "Whatever he said was the truth, and he promised me and fulfilled his promise. I do not make a legal thing illegal, nor do I make an illegal thing legal, but by Allah, the daughter of Messenger of Allah ﷺ and the daughter of the enemy of Allah, (i.e. Abu Jahl) can never get together (as the wives of one man) (See Hadith No. 76, Vo. 5). [Machine] Ali ibn Abi Talib proposed to the daughter of Abu Jahl and arranged for the marriage. Fatima, the daughter of the Prophet ﷺ , came to him and said, "Your people say that you do not get angry for the sake of your daughters, and yet Ali proposed to the daughter of Abu Jahl." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up, praised Allah and spoke highly of Ali. Then he said, "Indeed, Fatima is a part of me, and I do not like her to be distressed." He also mentioned Abu Al-'As ibn Al-Rabi', and praised him saying, "Indeed, he cannot have both the daughter of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and the daughter of an enemy of Allah."

[Machine] In a sale or donation she made, Aisha said, "By Allah, I will never speak to Ibn Zubayr again, ever. Abdullah ibn Zubayr interceded on his behalf when her seclusion with him became prolonged. Aisha said, "By Allah, I will not intercede for anyone in this matter, nor will I break the vow I made. When this went on for a long time, the Mawsur ibn Makhrama and Abdul Rahman ibn Al-Aswad ibn Abd Yaghuth, both of whom belonged to the tribe of Zuhra, spoke to him. They said, "We adjure you by Allah, unless you let us in to see Aisha, it is not permissible for her to sever ties with me. Mawsur and Abdul Rahman both approached the door of Ibn Zubayr, wrapped in their garments until they sought permission to enter upon Aisha. They said, "Peace be upon the Prophet and the mercy of Allah, may we enter?" Aisha said, "Enter." They said, "All of us, O Mother of the Believers?" She said, "All of you, and Aisha did not know that Ibn Zubayr was with them. When they entered, Ibn Zubayr broke into the curtain and embraced Aisha and began beseeching her and crying. Mawsur and Abdul Rahman also beseeched Aisha, except for what she said to them and accepted from them. They said to her, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade what you have learned about seclusion. It is not permissible for a Muslim to seclude himself from his brother for more than three nights." When they continued to remind and urge Aisha, she began to cry and said, "I made a vow and vows are serious." They persisted until she spoke to Ibn Zubayr and freed forty slaves in fulfillment of her vow. After that, she would often mention her vow and cry until her tears wet her face veil.

(the wife of the Prophet) that she was told that ʿAbdullah bin Az-Zubair (on hearing that she was selling or giving something as a gift) said, "By Allah, if ʿAisha does not give up this, I will declare her incompetent to dispose of her wealth." I said, "Did he (ʿAbdullah bin Az-Zubair) say so?" They (people) said, "Yes." ʿAisha said, "I vow to Allah that I will never speak to Ibn Az-Zubair." When this desertion lasted long, ʿAbdullah bin Az-Zubair sought intercession with her, but she said, "By Allah, I will not accept the intercession of anyone for him, and will not commit a sin by breaking my vow." When this state of affairs was prolonged on Ibn Az-Zubair (he felt it hard on him), he said to Al- Miswar bin Makhrama and ʿAbdur-Rahman bin Al-Aswad bin 'Abu Yaghuth, who were from the tribe of Bani Zahra, "I beseech you, by Allah, to let me enter upon ʿAisha, for it is unlawful for her to vow to cut the relation with me." So Al-Miswar and ʿAbdur-Rahman, wrapping their sheets around themselves, asked ʿAisha's permission saying, "Peace and Allah's Mercy and Blessings be upon you! Shall we come in?" ʿAisha said, "Come in." They said, "All of us?" She said, "Yes, come in all of you," not knowing that Ibn Az- Zubair was also with them. So when they entered, Ibn Az-Zubair entered the screened place and got hold of ʿAisha and started requesting her to excuse him, and wept. Al-Miswar and ʿAbdur Rahman also started requesting her to speak to him and to accept his repentance. They said (to her), "The Prophet ﷺ forbade what you know of deserting (not speaking to your Muslim Brethren), for it is unlawful for any Muslim not to talk to his brother for more than three nights (days)." So when they increased their reminding her (of the superiority of having good relation with Kith and kin, and of excusing others' sins), and brought her down to a critical situation, she started reminding them, and wept, saying, "I have made a vow, and (the question of) vow is a difficult one." They (Al-Miswar and ʿAbdur-Rahman) persisted in their appeal till she spoke with ʿAbdullah bin Az- Zubair and she manumitted forty slaves as an expiation for her vow. Later on, whenever she remembered her vow, she used to weep so much that her veil used to become wet with her tears. (Using translation from Bukhārī 6073)

[Machine] Aisha, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, told me that Abdullah bin Zubair said about a sale or a gift that Aisha gave him, "By Allah, Aisha will either stop or I will stone her." She asked, "Is this what he said?" They replied, "Yes." She said, "He has made a vow to Allah that he will never speak to Ibn Zubair again." When Ibn Zubair's migration became lengthy, Ibn Musawir bin Makhrama and Abdul Rahman bin Aswad bin Abd Yaghooth, both of whom were from the Banu Zuhrah tribe, spoke to him. They said, "We swear by Allah, we will not enter upon Aisha unless you allow us." Aisha told them to enter. They asked, "May we all enter, O Mother of the Believers?" She replied, "Yes, all of you enter and make sure Aisha doesn't know that Ibn Zubair is with you." When they entered, Ibn Zubair entered the curtain and embraced Aisha. He trembled and she tried to console him. Ibn Musawir bin Makhrama and Abdul Rahman bin Aswad also tried to console Aisha and begged her, "For the sake of Allah, speak to him and accept his apology." She accepted his apology. They told her that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had forbidden migration, as she knew, and said, "It is not permissible for a Muslim to abandon his brother for more than three nights." When they persisted with Aisha, reminding and urging her, she trembled, reminded them, and wept, saying, "I made a vow, and a vow is a serious matter." They did not stop until she spoke to Ibn Zubair. Then she freed forty slaves as part of her vow. After she had freed the forty slaves, she would mention her vow and weep until her tears wet her veil.

[Machine] That the affairs of this nation in its last period will return to being brothers of the public and enemies of the private life, and indeed we seek refuge in Allah that our book descends except from the source that descended from our hearts. Verily, we have written it as advice to you, and peace be upon you. So Umar ibn Al-Khattab wrote a letter from Umar ibn Al-Khattab to Abu Ubaidah ibn Al-Jarrah and Muadh ibn Jabal. Peace be upon you both. As for what follows, your letter has reached me, reminding me of the covenant that you both made with me. It is an important matter, and I have put the affairs of this nation under my responsibility. Its noble and humble, enemy and friend, truthful and just. Each one of them has a share of justice that you both have written. So see how you are at that time, O Umar. And indeed, at that time, they have no power or capability except through Allah. And you both have written to me, warning me of what the nations before us were warned of, both ancient and recent. And indeed, the differences between day and night, in the terms of people, draw near every distant matter, and bring every new matter, and bring every promised matter, until people are divided between their dwellings in heaven and hell. You both have written to me, warning me that the affairs of this nation will return in its last period to being brothers of the public and enemies of the private life. And you are not among those, nor is this the time for that. And that is a time in which desire and fear appear, and some people desire each other for worldly gain. You both have written to me, seeking refuge in Allah that your book is not revealed except from the source that descended from your hearts. So, he (May Allah have mercy on him) gave him seven of them (items) to take to so-and-so, and five of them to take to so-and-so until he had completed them. The servant returned and informed him that he had prepared the same (items) for Muadh bin Jabal. He went with it to him and said, 'Amir al-Mu'minin tells you, 'Use this for some of your needs.' So, Muadh bin Jabal (May Allah have mercy on him) said, 'May Allah have mercy on him and make him reach us safely.' Then, he (Amir al-Mu'minin) said, 'O servant, go to the house of so-and-so with this (item) and go to the house of so-and-so with this (item).' Muadh's wife came out and said, 'By Allah, we are poor. Give us (something).' There was only two dinars left (in the cloth) so he took them to her. The servant then returned to Umar and informed him (of what happened). Umar was pleased with that and said, 'Indeed, they are brothers, some of them are from others.'"

[Machine] Amr ibn Bukayr ibn Bakkar al-Qa'nabi narrated that Mujashi' ibn Amr narrated to us, who said that Ibn Lahiah narrated on the authority of Abu Qabail, who said that Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-'As informed him that Muadh ibn Jabal informed him, saying, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out to us with a changed complexion, and he said, 'I am Muhammad, granted the keys of speech and its endings. So obey me as long as I am among you. And when I depart from you, then upon you is the Book of Allah. Make the lawful of it lawful and the unlawful of it unlawful. Death has come to you with the truth. So do not let the shaytan take possession of you. Indeed the meeting place and the resting place of the souls is a book from Allah. There will come to you tribulations, like patches of morning darkness. Whenever one patch goes away, another patch comes. Prophethood will last among you for as long as Allah wills. Then Allah will remove it when He desires. Then there will come the Khilafah upon the Prophetic method.' Allah will have mercy on the one who takes it by its right and leaves it by virtue of His obedience. And he who turns away from it, then Allah will cast him aside just as he turned away. Then he said, 'O Muadh, count!' So I counted until I reached five. He said, 'Yazid, may Allah not bless Yazid.' Then his tears flowed and he said, 'A calamity will befall my grandson Husayn, and his family will be killed in front of him. By the One in whose hand is my soul, he will not be killed except by a people who oppose the command of Allah. They will differ and disagree among themselves.' Then he interlocked his fingers and said, 'Woe unto the offspring of Muhammad from a tyrant ruler, an oppressor, who will destroy the laws of Islam. A man from his family will call upon Allah and his supplication will not be answered. The people will differ among themselves, and it will be as such.' Then he said, 'After one hundred and twenty years, there will be swift death and sudden killing. In it will be their destruction, and a man from the offspring of Abbas will come after them.' And their words are the same."
