[Machine] That Mus'ab ibn Wa'il came to the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , in Madinah with an offering of agate stone, and he embraced Islam and his Islam was good. Mus'ab said, "O Messenger of Allah, I would like someone to be sent to my people to call them to Islam, and I would like a letter to be written to my people, perhaps Allah will guide them through it." He said to Mu'awiya, "Write for him: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. To the Afanad tribes from Hadramawt, perform the prayer, pay the zakah, and give charity generously. In the fifth part from the war gains and one-tenth from the cattle. No mixing, no mixture, no drinking, no hanging, no touching, no connecting two camels with one rope. Whoever does this has committed a grave evil. All intoxicants are forbidden." "Ziyad ibn Labid al-Ansari was sent to them." "Mixture refers to not gathering the cattle together. As for mixture, it is not standing up straight with the rope. As for hanging, it is to connect a man's daughter to another man's daughter without a dowry. And connecting is to put her in a state of nikah without a dowry. And hanging by the neck is to execute a person in his own land. And the response is that the fruit should be sold before the worms infest it."

"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Do not believe in omens, and good fortune is only to be found in three things: A woman, a horse and a house."' (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1993)
