The Prophet ﷺ said, "Measure your foodstuff and you will be blessed." (Using translation from Bukhārī 2128)  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «كِيلُوا طَعَامَكُمْ يُبَارَكْ لَكُمْ فِيهِ»  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "No human being has ever filled a container worse than his own stomach. The son of Adam only needs a few bites that keep his back straight. If there is no way out, then one-third for food, one-third for drink, and one-third for himself."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَا مَلَأَ آدَمِيٌّ وِعَاءً شَرًّا مِنْ بَطْنٍ حَسَبُ ابْنِ آدَمَ أُكُلَاتٍ يُقِمْنَ صُلْبَهُ فَإِنْ كَانَ لَا مَحَالَةَ فَثُلُثًا طَعَامًا وَثُلُثًا شَرَابًا وَثُلُثًا لِنَفْسِهِ»  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The son of Adam does not fill any vessel worse than his stomach. It is sufficient for the son of Adam to eat a few morsels to keep his back straight. If he must, then one-third for his food, one-third for his drink, and one-third for his breath."  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَا وَعَى ابْنُ آدَمَ وِعَاءً شَرًّا مِنْ بَطْنٍ بِحَسْبِ الْمُسْلِمِ أُكُلَاتٍ يُقِمْنَ صُلْبَهُ فَإِنْ كَانَ لَا مَحَالَةَ فَثُلُثًا لِطَعَامِهِ وَثُلُثًا لِشَرَابِهِ وَثُلُثًا لِنَفْسِهِ»  

[Machine] I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, "Seek refuge in Allah from the greed that leads to stamping (over others) and from the greed that leads to (desiring) what does not belong to you."  

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ «تَعَوَّذُوا بِاللهِ مِنْ طَمَعٍ يَهْدِي إِلَى طَبْعٍ وَمِنْ طَمَعٍ يَهْدِي إِلَى غَيْرِ مَطْمَعٍ»
