25. Chapter of Mīm (Male)

25.535 [Machine] Mihraan, the companion of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and there were disputes regarding his name, some said Kaysan or Hurmuz, but the correct name to me is Mihraan, because Al-Thawri was more accurate in narrating it.

[Machine] I entered upon Umm Kulthum bint Ali with something of charity, and she said: Our mawla (a term used to refer to someone who is close to someone else) is called Keyssan or Hurmuz. He informed me that he passed by the Prophet ﷺ who said: "O Fulan, we are a household who has been forbidden to take charity, and the mawla of the people should be from their own selves, so do not eat the charity."
