[Machine] I saw the Prophet of Allah ﷺ on the day of Hunayn standing over a man from Thaqif who had been killed. He said, "May Allah distance you, for you used to despise the Quraysh."

tabarani:18094Abū Yazīd al-Qarāṭīsī > al-ʿAbbās b. Ṭālib > Abū ʿAwānah > Mughīrah > Shibāk > ʿĀmir al-Shaʿbī > And Rrād a freed slave of al-Mughīrah > al-Mughīrah b. Shuʿbah

When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ finished the prayer and pronounced salutation he uttered (this supplication):" There is no god but Allah. He is alone, Who has no partner. To Him belongs the sovereignty and to Him praise is due and He is Potent over every. thing. O Allah! no one can withhold what Thou givest, or give what Thou withholdest, and the riches cannot avail a wealthy person with Thee." (Using translation from Muslim 593a)

[Machine] That you write to me about something you heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, so Al-Mughirah wrote to him that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say when he finished prayer: "There is no god but Allah alone, He has no partner, His is the dominion and to Him is the praise, and He is able to do all things. O Allah, none can withhold what You give, and none can give what You withhold, and no wealth or majesty can benefit anyone, as from You is all wealth and majesty, and You are the One Who prevents and the One Who gives, and there is no power or might except with You. And he used to forbid idle talk, excessive questioning, wasting money, disobeying mothers, and mistreating daughters."

Wasting of wealth (by extravagance) -3. And asking too many questions (in disputed religious matters) or asking others for something (except in great need). Verity Allah, the Glorious and Majestic, has forbidden for you: disobedience to mothers, and burying alive daughters, withholding the right of others in spite of having the power to return that to them and demanding that (which is not one's legitimate right). And He disapproved three things for you; irrelevant talk, persistent questioning and wasting of wealth. (Using translation from Muslim 593f)
