1. Purification
[Machine] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when the time for Asr prayer came and the people sought to perform ablution but they could not find water. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was brought a container of water and he placed his hand in it, and he commanded the people to perform ablution from it. I saw water springing from beneath his fingers, and the people performed ablution until they all completed it.
[Machine] I used to shower with the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ from one vessel.
[Machine] I and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform ablution from a single vessel, and that container at that time was called "Al-Faraqah".
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , used to perform ablution in the same container, and I also used to perform ablution with him from the same vessel.
[Machine] I used to take a bath along with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ from one container that had a capacity of a sa' (measurement). Abu Bakr ibn al-Hasan al-Qadi informed us, Hajib ibn Ahmad, that Muhammad ibn Hammad narrated to us, who narrated from Abdul-Razzaq, who narrated from Ma'mar and Ibn Jurayj, who narrated from Al-Zuhri, who mentioned it, and Malik narrated it from Al-Zuhri, with an addition to it.
[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform ghusl (ritual bathing) from a vessel that was separate from janabah (ritual impurity).
[Machine] I and the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , used to perform ablution from one container. The difference is stated, and Az-Zuhri said, "I think it is five portions." Abu 'Amr said, "One portion is four dirhams." Others also narrated from Ibrahim ibn Sa'd in the same manner, and Abu Muhammad ibn Yusuf informed us that I am Abu Abdullah ibn Yazid, and I am Ibrahim ibn Muhammad ibn Sufyan. Muslim ibn Al-Hajjaj narrated to us, and he said Qutaibah has said, Sufyan said, meaning Ibn Uyaynah, "The difference is thirteen ash'." In another narration from Harmala, it is reported from Ash-Shafi'i that he said the same. Abu Ali Ar-Rudhbari informed us, and Abu Bakr ibn Dasa narrated to us, and Abu Dawud said, "I heard Ahmad ibn Hanbal saying, 'The difference is sixteen ratl." I also heard him saying, "A sa' of Ibn Abi Dhi'b is five dirhams and a third." It was asked, "So how much is it?" He said, "Eight dirhams." It was said, "That is not correct." Ash-Shafi'i said, "And we have been informed that the Prophet, ﷺ , performed ablution with a mud and took a bath with a sa'."
[Machine] I heard Anas ibn Malik saying that the Prophet ﷺ used to perform ghusl (ritual bathing) with a sa' (a unit of measurement) of water up to five imdad (liters), and he used to perform wudu (ablution) with mud.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform ablution with the "makkuk" and take a bath with five "makaakii" 931 and their meaning.
