"I am like a father teaching you. When any one of you goes to Al-Khala' (the toilet), let him not face toward the Qiblah nor turn his back toward it, and let him not clean himself with his right hand." And he used to tell them to use three stones, and he forbade using dung or old bones. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 40)
[Machine] About throwing pebbles and sprouting crops, and he commanded with three stones.
[Machine] They said to Salman, "Did your Prophet ﷺ teach you everything, even how to clean yourselves after using the bathroom?" He replied, "Yes, indeed. He forbade us from facing the qibla (direction of prayer) while defecating or urinating. He also prohibited us from performing istinja (cleansing after using the bathroom) with less than three stones. And he forbade us from using dung or bones for istinja."
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: When any of you goes to relieve himself, he should take with him three stones to cleans himself, for they will be enough for him. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 40)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about Istihāba (the state when a discharge of semen occurs without desire) and he said: "It is with three stones that do not have any trace of impurity." Abu Dawood said: "This is how it was narrated."
"The Messenger of Allah went to the toilet and said: 'Bring me three stones.' So I brought him two stones and a piece of dung. He took the two stones and threw the dung away, saying: 'It is impure.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 314)
