bayhaqi:837Abū al-Ḥasan b. ʿAbdān > Aḥmad b. ʿUbayd al-Ṣaffār > al-Ḥasan b. ʿAlī al-Fasawī > ʿUbaydullāh b. ʿUmar > Muʿādh b. Hishām from my father > Qatādah > Nāfiʿ > Ibn ʿUmar

[Machine] Whenever he performed a ritual ablution from major impurity, he would splash water on his face and insert his finger into his ear, while standing.

bayhaqi:838Abū Saʿīd b. Abū ʿAmr > Abū al-ʿAbbās Muḥammad b. Yaʿqūb > al-Rabīʿ b. Sulaymān > al-Shāfiʿī > Mālik > Nāfiʿ > Ibn ʿUmar

[Machine] He used to pour water over his eyes when he performed a ritual wash from major impurity. Malik said: "There is no specific action required for this." Al-Shafi'i said: "There is no need to pour water over the eyes because they are not distinct parts of the body." The teacher said: "It has been narrated as a statement of the Prophet, but its chain of narration is not authentic."
