[Machine] Whenever he performed a ritual ablution from major impurity, he would splash water on his face and insert his finger into his ear, while standing.  

البيهقي:٨٣٧أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ بْنُ عَبْدَانَ أنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الصَّفَّارُ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْفَسَوِيُّ ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ ثنا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ

كَانَ إِذَا اغْتَسَلَ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ نَضَحَ الْمَاءَ فِي عَيْنَيْهِ وَأَدْخَلَ إِصْبَعَهُ فِي سُرَّتِهِ مَوْقُوفٌ
