[Machine] Al-Najashi presented two black socks to the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ . He wore them and wiped over them while reciting the narration of Abu Nuaim. And in the narration of Ubaidullah, it is mentioned that Al-Najashi presented two black socks to the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ . He then performed ablution and wiped over them.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed ablution and wiped over his socks. A man said to Al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah, "O Mughirah, where did the Prophet ﷺ get the socks from?" He replied, "Najashee gave them to him as a gift." The Shaykh and Ash-Sha'bi both related the hadith of wiping over the socks from Urwah bin Al-Mughirah, from his father. And Allah knows best.
[Machine] "If something comes out of the areas of ablution, do not wipe over it and remove it. And Abdullah bin Abdul-Razzaq narrated to us that he heard Al-Thawri saying, wipe over it, whatever is attached to the foot, even if it is torn. And the socks of the Muhajireen and the Ansar were torn and worn out. The statement of Ma'mar ibn Rashid regarding this is dearer to us."
[Machine] "Regarding the Prophet, ﷺ , in the month of Muharram, he does not wear two socks except for those who cannot find two shoes. In this case, they should cut them until they are shorter than the ankles. This has been mentioned in the two authentic hadith collections. Abu Abdullah informed us, saying Abu Al-Walid, the jurist, said there is evidence that if the sock does not cover the entire foot, it is not permissible to wipe over it."
