“Why don’t they take its skin and ten it, and make us of it?” They said: “O Messenger of Allah, it is dead meat.”* He said: “It is only unlawful to eat it.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3610)
[Machine] About Maymuna, it was said to her: "Verily, Ma'mar does not mention [the issue of] dyes." So they put him on the spot and he said: "Al-Zuhri used to disapprove of dyeing." So Sufyan said: "However, I hold the position in it and in the other hadith of 'Amr from 'Ata' from Ibn 'Abbas. He (Ibn 'Abbas) said: 'The elder (an-nash) should be understood.'"
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ passed by a dead sheep belonging to Maymunah and said, "If they take its skin and tan it, they will benefit from it."
[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to the owners of a sheep that had died: "Why don't you remove its skin, tan it, and benefit from it, just like so?"
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Any garment that has been dyed with a natural substance is considered pure."
[Machine] About the Prophet ﷺ regarding the skin of a dead animal, he said: "Indeed, its tanning has removed its impurities or filth or contamination." This is a Sahih (authentic) chain of narration. I asked Ahmad ibn Ali al-Asbahani about my brother Salim. He said, his name is Abdullah ibn Abi al-Jad.
[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered to use the hides of dead animals, once they are tanned.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came during the Battle of Tabuk to a house and found a water skin hung up. He asked for water and they said, "O Messenger of Allah, it is dead (i.e., impure)." He replied, "Its water is pure, just like this."
