1. Purification
Whenever the Prophet ﷺ took a bath after Janaba he started by washing his hands and then performed ablution like that for the prayer. After that he would put his fingers in water and move the roots of his hair with them, and then pour three handfuls of water over his head and then pour water all over his body. (Using translation from Bukhārī 248)
(on the authority of his father) ʿAisha said, "Whenever Messenger of Allah ﷺ took the bath of Janaba, he cleaned his hands and performed ablution like that for prayer and then took a bath and rubbed his hair, till he felt that the whole skin of the head had become wet, then he would pour water thrice and wash the rest of the body." ʿAisha further said, "I and Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to take a bath from a single water container, from which we took water simultaneously." (Using translation from Bukhārī 272)
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to perform ablution from impurity, then he would enter his right hand into the water and rub it on the right side of his head, following the roots of his hair. Then he would do the same with the left side of his head using his left hand. He would continue doing this until he covered his entire scalp. After that, he would pour water over his head three times.
I heard the Prophet ﷺ say: ʿWhoever leaves a space the size of a hair when doing ghusl for janabah and does not make water reach it, Allah will punish him with such and such in the Fire.” ‘Ali ؓ said: From that time I disliked my hair. (Using translation from Aḥmad 727)
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Under every hair is impurity, so wash the hair and clean the skin underneath it." It was narrated by Harith bin Waji'i and Harith bin Waji'i spoke about it.
[Machine] A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and asked him about the news of the sky. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "Would any of you ask about the news of the sky while he has his fingernails like the claws of a bird? Gathering in it are impurity and filth."
[Machine] A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and asked him. He said: "One of you asks me about news from the sky while he neglects the appearance of his nails, which are like birds' nails. In them, impurity and spittle gather." This is the statement of Abu Ayyub Al-Azdi, not Abu Ayyub Al-Ansari.
